Pretty much. It's pretty easy to see the EPA as a direct threat to local industries.

Yeah, that was a little weird. I feel like there could be a good argument about how it's historically and biblically feasible, but I think that'd take more time than anyone has attention span for.

But then there's Carson.

A few years back a few US diplomats realized that the cost of giving Belize a telecommunications network was so small they could sneak it into a budget and no one would notice.  Big deal for Belize but how many americans know about it?  The moral of the story is that big countries do a lot of stuff that gets lost in the noise.

Fair enough, maybe it's fine as long as it's small enough to sneak into the budget? Or possibly Belize can get lumped in with British empire collapse concern and therefore not able to be ruined by American meddling.


So far, no one's been that terrible, I think. No one's been great, so we're avoiding that "Become enthused about someone" landmine, but better than expected.

I think Carson went in the wrong direction with his response to that question on Hillary. Or rather, he could have phrased that differently.
