What I'm most interested in is when this game is released, how much effort would it take to turn it into star citizen? Do you guys understand what I'm asking? I don't think I'm making myself clear.

'bout 60 million $ and 4 years development

So I reinstalled Spore the other day.
Did you get to space mode and have to deal with the shit controls again?

It's known as the Oppai-Kaiju effect. The islands of Japan generate a sort anti-gravity field, which allows breasts to behave as if in microgravity. It's also what allows Godzilla and friends to become 50 stories tall, and lets ninjas run up the side of a skyscraper.

I'm still in creature mode. I assume space mode is still terrible, but I haven't gotten there yet.

Space mode can be fun if you do nothing but go on a conquering spree.

Anyone else think the ground combat looks... serviceable to put it generously?

The combat is very clearly not the focus of the game, to put it mildly

So uh, looks like there is another legal battle in the future of NMS
Sounds from my understanding like that wouldn't hold up at all. Can't patent a formula by itself.

Doesn't mean they won't have to battle it out in court.

The space combat on the trailer looks more like a mockup than actual footage, since it seems any ship bigger than a fighter seems to do nothing other than look like a static object put there to look pretty. It doesn't look thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat bad tho, and if they can put up this omgah tier planet generation, they can prob implement a decent space combat system.

Or maybe they could steal the space combat from someone else.

TBH I'd be okay with the ships and space combat leaning a little more towards the arcade end, it'd be a pain to have to pull out my flightstick and throttle every time I got into the cockpit.

It'd be kinda cool to be able to use TrackIR though...
