Ever since the new update the exe wont properly execute.

When I run the new Dwarf Fortress .exe I get a white window with "Dwarf Fortress has stopped working" Help Please.

Your post lacks information. You'll need to post a little bit more than that, or else nobody will be able to help you. For example, did you delete the entire folder of the previous version before extracting the new version? Have you enabled Windows 98 compatibility (or some other similarly unnecessary flag) for some reason? Is the folder compressed, or read only? Are you trying to run it with DFHack, and, if so, have you tried running Dwarf Fortress without it?

Thank you very much for the reply. The reason I didn't post more information is due to nothing else being applicable. It has a new folder, extracted from .rar format. Click .exe, white window opens up and displays stopped working message.

Lots of things are applicable. Nobody can help you if they don't even know where you got your copy of Dwarf Fortress from, whether you're trying to run Dwarf Fortress on Windows 95 or on an ARM computer, if you have DFHack installed, etc.

For a start, if you're extracting from a .rar file then you're not running "vanilla" Dwarf Fortress. Download it from the official site instead. If you're experiencing issues with a particular distribution of Dwarf Fortress (such as Phoebus, the DF Starter Pack, Ironhand, etc) then you should post in the relevant thread.

I click on the official page and its in a .zip, this is synonymous with .rar to me I'm sorry for the confusion.

Maybe you have a corrupt download? Try downloading it again and see if it still happens.
