There hadn't been an execution in a hundred years, until we learned about the one that happened from the elves. Clearly. :|
EDIT: but, yes, +1 to 1.

The execution could just have not been public knowledge. He just slipped down the stairs one day ;D

+1 in any case.

In a hole in the ground there lived a dwarf. Not a nasty, dirty, wet hole, filled with the ends of worms and an oozy smell, nor yet a dry, bare, sandy hole with nothing in it to sit down on or to eat: it was a dwarf fortress, and that means magma.

Curiosity was the downfall of many a wizard. I hoped that I wouldn't regret my decision, but I was intensely interested in such a mystical phenomenon.

1) I used my magic sight to uncover the location of the glade. (Needs 30 Divination)
I asked a few friendly elves where it was. (Needs 30 Elf Faction)
2) I studied a map and figured it out. (Needs 25 Geography)
I tracked the elves to the glade. (Needs 35 Nature)
3) I followed my sensing of the magic. (Needs 30 Arcana)
4) I had Cat, my canine friend, sniff out the way.
5) I had no idea where the moon glade was.

I also like that apparently it is on a map, but we can't be arsed to look for one.

38 Divination vs 25 Geography tells me to rather improve the later

My eyes clouded over, but I could still see. I focused my thoughts and 'saw' the path before me. I knew exactly how to get there.
(Divination +10)

I left the elf city and traveled into the woods. The moon was my only light as I made my way through the ancient trees. It took a little time, but I soon found the glade. A shimmering pool of magical water glowed in front of me. It was the same color as the moon itself. This was the infamous moon glade I had heard about. I knew I didn't have a lot of time, so I would have to be quick.

1) I took a sample of the glowing water and drank some myself.
2) I bathed in the magical waters.
3) I stood in it up to my ankles, getting my boots wet.
4) I analyzed the water, hoping to glean some insight about its magical nature.
5) I did nothing but admire its beauty.

Neonivek, I'm fairly sure that this event can only produce a positive outcome. There are no secret skill checks involved.
