^ Generally speaking, unless the option explicitly requires that you have certain stats to choose it, it doesn't matter how high your stats are for the outcome, although later on in the game the options without requirements are usually the failure options.

There were so many dead villagers, it made me wonder if our village was going to survive. I helped bandage wounds and sew cuts that had been made by cruel elf swords.
(Healing +10, Kingdom Faction +10, Religion +5 and Good +1)

The elf raiders were ruthless. Many people were killed, and several buildings burned down.

1) My parents were killed.
2) My first love, Ragg, was killed.
3) I was very badly injured.

Me miserable! which way shall I fly
Infinite wrath, and infinite despair?
Which way I fly is Hell; myself am Hell;
And, in the lowest deep, a lower deep
Still threatening to devour me opens wide,
To which the Hell I suffer seems a Heaven.

Bah, isn't this supposed to be tragic? You're being far too nice.

I cried for weeks knowing that I'd never forget her smile. They say that your first love is the deepest, and I think I still believe that. I was told that her house had burned down during the raid and her parents had been killed too. I'll never forget Ragg.

The attack changed everything, putting an end to my carefree days as a child. I likely would have had a few more years of fun and innocence, but after the attack I had to get a job and become an adult.

1) I started working for the family business.
2) I got my own place and found a job.
