If we're splitting up, I suppose I'd rather go with the catching group. Some new partners and some experience for Bruce would be better to get sooner rather than later.

Before you leave, Craig heals your wounded pokemon. You head down the path, the lake in your sights. Not too long after (about five minutes in) you make it to the lakeside.

Every pokemon who participated in the battle gains 25xp.

You arrive and spot several movements in the shallow water. Two fish seem to be near the edge as well as a blue bird, a purple frog and an orange otter. There are five of them. They don't seem to notice the party yet

You make your way there. (20+1) You succeed in sneaking towards the edge. Bruce is higher above you to avoid breaking cover. There's a brown fish and a red fish, both near the water's edge. They come close to the surface every now and then, but they don't seem to see you.

(?) You walk up to the bird who looks at you and minds about its own business. Its blue and has a bill instead of a beak. (?) (19+2) you find some Rawst berries and pick them. You get (2) Rawst berries and attempt to bring it to the bird. It looks at you, quacks, and eats the berries. It seems ok with eating them and looks friendlier towards you. It quacks again and you notice the orange otter looks towards you at the quack, and shies away. The frog ignores it and continues about splashing in the water.
