Think about it. There's a reason these comments are eviscerated with such prejudice that those who hadn't seen it where completely unaware about what happened.

We know it was removed, but knowing what it actually was helps us move on so we are not left in suspense. I have no intention of arguing about it.
This is a public thread. You might not be interested in discussing it, but others...

If you are referring to the comment about enabling 'a culture of ___' than she is of the belief that insufficient action is the same as enabling.  If you don't try to stop it (whatever it may be in context) than you are letting it flourish.

But lets move on.  There are places to discuss whatever, but you yourself don't seem to know what you'd like to discuss.

Good. Trolls are fortunately rare here, but they do appear occasionally.

It's less trolling and more of people getting very...agitated at the subject manner. I think more than half of the recent bannings could be attributed to being unable address their position civilly

All the 10 or so previous precursor threads were locked in time as well. This topic is basically a pile of tinder next to a sparking axle grinder

Was that (culture of underscores) the comment which was removed?

I meant that I would not make inflammatory statements of my own in response. Once I read what it was, I would move on.

Maybe you should PM her and ask her.  After of course making sure she wants to discuss it.

Really, it is better if we move on from it and just go back to discussing theoretical spacecraft engines.

Then I should just make a spacecraft engines thread and let this one get locked after inflammatory comment number I've lost count now.

It is no longer a derail; it is its own thread. This can return to the mess it formerly was now.

I also made a point about how divorcing appearance from gameplay is not really good for gameplay since appearance indicates to players the nature of the creature or object, using the example of how in combat someone wearing invisible armour in a part of her body would have an unfair advantage since nobody would know that she was wearing it.

Eh, practically no games use hitboxes for combat anyway. It's just HP + armour modifier, and MAYBE extra damage for a headshot.
