As a side note, this is turn number 50.
Home team
Smooch 'em, smooch dose puppehs so good. Muah muah muah I love you and you and you-
Kissing, licking and tail wagging continues. Stop her, Dave! She's stealing hearts of your puppies at this rate!
Play with the puppies so they imprint on me, making me less likely a target in case they go nuts.
And so does this one!
Warning:
Cuteness overload imminent! Instinct is strong with this one.
Red team
"I think we should get out fast."
I try to get out, fast.
HAUL ASS
"Cromwell to Green Team, we've got a flood coming, fast. Get to some high ground or evac immediately!"
West, eh? It took three hours of slow walking to get here, so you can probably make it out in half hour at best if you keep up good running speed and don't fall or hurt yourself.
You turn around to run away. You manage to take three steps when trickling of dust from ceiling becomes a flood. Ground shakes when ceiling caves in behind you and raise massive amount of dust into air; you can't even see your hand in front of your face.
| "Stop! Don't run! Walk slowly until you can see properly again!" |
As much as they want to obey their instincts and run away the team obeys experienced spelunker and slows down. Dust settles painfully slowly and you look around trying to see how close to death you were. As light of your headlamps pierces the dust, something shines back at you from direction where cave in happened. But... nobody should be over there...
Green team
HAUL ASS
"Cromwell to Green Team, we've got a flood coming, fast. Get to some high ground or evac immediately!"
"I have had enough caving for one day!"
Time to make a speedy exit.
"Well shit lets get out of here"
Haul ass.
| "In my opinion we should have postponed this mission until better weather! But no, 'weather doesn't matter inside the caves'!" |
Possible flooding is not really visible here yet, but prospect of it doesn't feel very attractive. This team hightails it out all the way to the outpost. On outside you can see how much it is actually raining. From cave entrance you can barely see the containers, and those are only 20 meters away. You begin to suspect this so called "flood" exists only on outside.
Time is now ~12:45.
White grid in the map divides area into manageable chunks. Crossing each white line means walking for half hour, so time flies fast here.
