When he comes in depends on if you guys feel I'd be bloating the character ranks or not-- but rest assured that I'm never going to go beyond two, and even two is a rare exception for me; I just don't much like the gender ratio and had a couple of ideas.
Name: Kyo Nakahara
Gender: Male
Description: Kyo Nakahara stands at 5'7'', and though of average weight he's actually quite angular, something that makes him look thinner and wirier than he really is. His hair is red (and rather bright), and is cut short-- something that still fails to mitigate its messiness. His eyes are dark brown, and have quite the circles under them... he doesn't look like he sleeps too much. He exclusively wears clothing of dull colors, like a medium grey sweatshirt he seems to be particularly fond of.
Disability(ies) (yes it's required): Paranoid Schizophrenia. Kyo isn't totally insane; most of the time he's a well-functioning individual. However, his mental health is still in severe need of help, his reason for being at Yamaku. He constantly maintains a couple of key paranoid delusions: Firstly, he believes that the school and his case workers are constantly watching on and spying on him. Secondly, he very firmly believes that the law is out to get him, despite having no actual criminal record. If one does something that seems to confirm either of these two Kyo will become belligerent and testy. When he's doing very poorly, he will experience auditory hallucinations in the form of voices... however, this is exceptionally rare.
Clubs: Track (Kyo sometimes claims this is to let him run faster when they come for him, but it's evident he's just good at it and likes it.)
and Light Music (Kyo doesn't like the attention but he does have a real talent for music.)
Other: Kyo's father (who had some mental issues of his own, possibly the hereditary cause of Kyo's schizophrenia) left the family when Kyo was twelve; Kyo has spent the last few years with his mother, scraping by. Kyo's mental stability was always an issue at the normal schools he went to; even when little he had a tendency to run and hide and occasionally complained of voices when he was unhappy. This only got worse when Kyo's father left, and Kyo became truly unstable. He slogged along through a few more years, even into early high school, and doing awfully in the process, failing classes and having his presence at the school questioned.
Kyo was finally kicked out of high school one day due to an incident that happened after the end of the school year: an enemy from school did his level best to torment Kyo-- make him paranoid, and eventually the two got in a fight where the other kid's arm was broken. Police action was never taken because of the extenuating circumstances and because it was possibly self-defense, but his school, always skeptical of him, transferred him to Yamaku High School anyway. The violence had simply been the last straw.
Personality-wise, Kyo is of course very guarded even if he's friendly, and it takes quite a bit of prying to get him to reveal personal information but once one manages to pierce that shell, they find that Kyo is extremely warm and doesn't hesitate to comfort and trust those he cares for, even at his own expense. In fact, he's incredibly selfless in general for his friends, too selfless: due to his condition and his past (like the arm-breaking), Kyo has very low self-esteem and will take some rather severe abuse without so much as a peep, believing he deserves it.
I'm planning for him to either come in all of a sudden, late for the orientation, dragged in by his case worker, or a couple days into the school year, the resolution of the transfer having only very recently come.
