And that has absolutely buggerall to do with criminalizing extramartial sex, which you suggested the states have, apparently, done. Somewhere.

It's a mitigating factor because of emotional states, not because of anything regarding the adultery itself. The adulterer is under no criminal consequence for having done so.

Well I meant more that states having systems to punish you for adultery exists.

We don't bloody have that! It doesn't freaking exist!

Barring some unenforced BS lingering from decades ago, maybe. I won't discount that possibility.

Well, let's not go to down this tangent too far. My point is mainly that the State has no business interfering with any of my pleasures just because they're non-essential, as long as they're not harming anyone else. I mean, what is really essential? If we use that as a yardstick, the Party could have us all working 18 hours a day, sleeping in communal dorms with 50 people per room, and eating sludge.

By the by eliminating all sex except between married couples doesn't eliminate STDs

Also your smoking Cannibis you do have a thing known as... SECOND HAND SMOKE!

And to my knowledge there is no such thing as second hand KFC binges.

How exactly would they spread if everyone only has one partner throughout their lives?

Babies

We going to ban babies too?

Or perhaps we could have like state mandated STD tests and if you get a positive you are banned from having sex (Ignoring that currently... that is a legal grey area)

Well, just ban infected people from having babies then, procreation is non-essential.

There are quite a bit of people who do honestly want that to be a ban.

Also procreation is essential :P

You can eliminate some people from the gene pool and still produce enough workers for the glory of the Party.

Yeah but that would require individually targeting people.

I mean I guess we could legalize Cannibis and then just ban some people from using it individually.

Fortunately, the kind of people that would need to be banned from using cannabis can't get a driving licence anyway (well, in theory at least), so what harm can they do?

Actually why even have a age limit for cannabis if it is so "harmless"?

I mean after all "eating KFC" is listed as more dangerous then doing pot.

I'm actually perfectly fine with leaving that up to parents. Same goes for alcohol.

Why include the parents?

Just have it be the additive in Juice. Perhaps some alcohol marketed directly towards children.

We aren't talking about the France Method after all.

Well Alcohol is still dangerous.

But Canibis is safer then KFC and children can legally buy KFC. So adding it to children's food shouldn't be too bad.
