Just had the most boring werebeast ever

A wereturtle appeared... and then was immediately slain by one of my hunters with a headshot. Maybe I should make her the captain of my Marksdwarf squad :p

Most of mine are pretty tame, too. Never had one that wasn't dispatched easily. Forgotten Beasts and Titans are a different story. Occasionally you get one that is made out of steel or something, and I usually end up abandoning those forts out of frustration. It most often results in me blocking it off with a raised bridge.

My entire 10-man millitia ( shortly followed by the rest of the fort) all got their heads bitten clean off , despite having helmets, by a were-giraffe.

Fear weremammoth's. Those things are the size of a forgotten beast, about half as big as a roc or bronze colossus. I had one show up and solo a 30 dwarf military in full iron plate.

Close the gate, wait for them to change back to humanoid form, and then....

I actually had a still dangerous transformed werebeast. It turned into a serpentman, and after killing a few of my prized grizzlies as a weretiger, poisoned a few more with it's bite, killed two farmers, and was killed by a crossbowdwarf.

I haven't had a cool werebeast yet. The most recent one I've had was a wereanteater

i had the problem of a successive case of werelemur, a single one of the fuckers attacked and infected several dorfs, tried to finish the curse abandoning and then reclaiming but one of the infected was hidden and attacked again, i just ragequited that fort. that and because i had to block the cavern entrance due to a forgotten beast

I once had a pretty bad-ass one: A werebull. I really don't know it if is that powerful, as my millitary was non-existent at the time, so i just closed the gate and waited until it turned back into a naked gobbo. He also broke the spine and ripped a paw of a near dog. The poor puppy survived, so i re-assigned him to the chain. Killed by a Cyclops, replaced by a cavy.
 Why i'm telling this? I don't know.

I don't use magic invincibridges, except for fluid projects.

Luckily, my first infectee turned in the hospital and calmly stayed in his bed until somebody came to bring water before the rag-tag militia could get there. Red riding hood much? :P

I had a werepossum infection - no mater how my dwarves killed it(them) - next month 1 or 2 of them turned possum and the blood flowed again,  it was fun so I let it run its course.
About 10 months later it had stopped.  Dwarves became quite confused about putting werepossum tails in dwarf coffins though (they didn't do it). So those lay around until the atom smasher was commissioned.

That fort is still going with the most coffins I've ever built as we've survived 3 tantrum spirals since then.
