I don't use Bay12 much anymore. PM me if you need to get in touch with me and I'll send you my Discord handle.

You know...

Should we use this for discussions of all possible Bay12 meetups?  It would allow people to easily find out what's being planned and comment on their preferred locations.

There's already a thread for that, though. The ones for more specific locales seem to work better.

Ah, I misread the calendar. I was shooting for 3 weeks. Soo... the 7th weekend.

Bump for clarification.

Do you mean the weekend of the 7th, as in the 7th of February?

Yeah, but it looks like that weekend won't work out for me. The weekend after is Valentine's day, I don't want to risk the flak of being out of town for that... so 21st seems like the earliest that will work out for me.

I have a convention in LA on Valentine's day weekend (Gallifrey One). But that doesn't conflict. However, I have no idea what my school workload will be like by then. Could be midterms season. But planning ahead I may work with that.

The fourteenth deeeeeefinitely would not work for me. I'm spending my birthday napping cause I'm pretty sure nothing remotely important will be happening on it so I have no reason to bother being awake during it.

Well, the 21st is the discussed day anyhow. And that gives us some time to plan ahead.

We need a planned location.

"The" place to meet in Los Angeles is Philppe's off Alameda. Though they no longer offer 10 cent coffee. "The" place to meet in Orange County is the Harbor House in Dana Point.

Roughly at the midpoint between the two lies Norm's in Huntington Beach. It is open 24 hours. It's like a slightly less trashy version of Denny's.

I propose Norm's, Saturday, February 21st at 8pm. Unless we have more OCers than just Hugo and myself, in which case I suggest Harbor House. It's nicer than Norm's, and they have an old school Street Fighter arcade machine. But it is on the south end of Orange County, and if we have people coming from both LA and OC, Norm's is a reasonable compromise.
