Go to data/save/[the save folder] and zip it.  Right click, send to, zipped folder.

Then upload that to DFFD.  Theres 2 links to it in my sig.

okay how do I then get a screenshot of where to embark? Oh wait will this give you my entire save? That would work too, though you might want to start fresh.

That looks about right.  Screenshots are easily done with the button printscreen and then saving it.  Pasting the screenshot in MSpaint should work.

Well I've already embarked so I don't know how to get a screenshot of where I embarked, is the problem.

Cant.  youll have to re-embark or something.

the local map could be done, though.

Copy the save, abandon, go to reclaim, take a screenshot of the location, delete that save.

I had to select a rather large embark size to get the metal and flux stone I wanted, but you can opt for otherwise.

Like I said, I haven't found what I am looking for yet.

A more automatic alternative option to the floor bridge is slightly trickier to set up, but much less micromanagey: Have some female whales chained up at the end of long corridors. Put a window behind them and put a raising bridge behind that, and behind that put a dog on a chain or similar, then link the raising bridge up to a slow repeater of some kind. All the corridors should end in the same room, a large, drainable area filled with cage traps that can be sealed off from the corridors. Whenever the whales give birth, wait until the dog is revealed, which will scare the babies into running down the corridor, but not the mother since she can't because she's chained, and then drain the trap room, collect the cages and reset the traps. Bonus points for setting pressure plates around the mother to reveal the dog which work only for the weight of babies but not mothers.

yea I thought about trying out an evil biome just for them, but the chances of seeing them before getting annihilated seemed slim.

okay! I double checked why I wasn't getting giant sperm whales showing up with dfhack, I needed a savage ocean.

I have a new embark, 2x2, tons of metal and flux stone, sand and clay. Only thing it is lacking is fresh water, which I will have to construct a tank for.

D'oh. Yes, all giant animals and animal men are restricted to savage biomes. Also be aware that just because an animal can spawn in an area doesn't necessarily mean it will. In my experience the game randomly picks a handful of species to be common in an area, and everything else shows up infrequently or not at all.
