Oh wow guys. I messed up so badly.

6th of Granite.
Sarvesh Aballikot was a Jester Miner!

Sarvesh turned up dehydrated to death in the middle of the fortress. We have 2326 units of drink, so I don’t know what his problem was.

12th of Granite.
An elven caravan has arrived. I’m considering actually trading with them rather than having them killed so as to avoid the risk of our militia transforming in the middle of the trade depot and murdering more people.

19th of Granite.
I’ve been going through the interactions of our serial killer and have quarantined some of our locals that had more suspicious interactions with him.

26th of Granite.
Some news on my attempts to quarantine the wererhinoceros suspects: first no one seemed in the mood to construct a simple door to keep them penned in. Then a mason fell into depression while building a wall to keep them in. Then no fewer than three dwarves decided to try walling themselves in with the werebeasts in spite of being assigned to burrows that didn’t permit them anywhere inside the pen. And then two of the suspects transformed and killed our depressed mason.
Urdim Memadkadol was a Town Mason!

It looked like the wererhinos would be satisfied with their kill, but TheDarkStar was having none of that, sprinting down to their catacombs to retrieve Urdim’s body in spite of it being forbidden, outside his burrow and in the grip of a giant rhino, then luring them up into the middle of the living quarters, even doubling back a couple of times to make sure he hadn’t lost them.

TheDarkStar was a Mafia Mafia!
Rakust Endokzatam was a Town Brewer!
Unib Sazirurvad was a Town Farmer!
Kogan Zonrith was a Town Miner!
Lolor Letmosnazom was a Town Blacksmith!
Endok Gebiden was a Town Spinner!

TheDarkStar (?) was a Cultist Farmer!

27th of Granite.
Perhaps hearing that we needed some reinforcements thanks to the ongoing slaughter in our fortress, some migrants have arrived on our borders.
Zefon  Vabokikud was a Town Farmer!
Avuz Athelzes was a Town Planter!

Still no sign of the militia doing anything to stop the werebeasts.

28th of Granite.
Limul Konosasiz the Amber Queen of Glee was a Serial Killer Wererhinoceros Planter!
Asmel Gomerfeb was a Serial Killer Wererhinoceros Planter!
[/i]

And I have absolutely no idea what the hell is going on any more. One of the speardwarves is currently stabbing Flabort in the chest for no apparent reason. A planter is hitting a hammerdwarf with a sock and has managed to chip his skull with it.

Flabort was a Cultist Hammerdwarf!
Ushrir Zefonkeb was a Town Hammerdwarf!

5th of Slate.
Now that I’ve made sure we’re not descending into a loyalty cascade, I can unveil my massive hole in the ground, which serves as both prisoner and rubbish disposal and leads directly to the magma seas!

If I ever play a wererhinocerous in an RPG, I'm naming her the Amber Queen of Glee.

It's very possible. You could even do it as a human or a dwarf, since those are both medium races.

Have to be at least 10th level, though, which is half the game.

Pretty ok, in general. There didn't end up being a loyalty cascade, so I don't know what happened with flabort. I'll get a proper write up this evening (game is extremely slow, so there's not that much done timewise)

Can we get a quick update on the dwarfed characters? Some of them have been in the fort for a while, so it would be cool to see how they turned out!

There are still like three flaborts left in the fortress :/

Updates and profiles to follow once I can get the screenshots.

17th of Slate.
Life had gradually settled down in the fortress of Pricemines. flabort's killer had gotten off without charges after the discovery that flabort was secretly a member of a cult that had been outlawed by Queen Domas years before, and with the militia already in shambles no one was interested in killing another of its members for no reason. None of this was known to Lubbe Innunubpo. All that the towering one-eyed armadillo knew was that someone had dared to build something where it would have preferred that nothing be built. It let loose a roar, pillars of flame leaping from its mouth, then charged towards the fortress.

Asmoth's Log:
I think this is just going to be a generally crappy year...

18th of Slate.
I finally managed to get the militia mobilised to deal with Lubbe, but the beast has decided to settle in the bottom of the lake outside our walls instead. It seems quite happy there, so I think we have no option but to leave it for now. The fires that it started before submerging will soon engulf the only spot the archers would be able to get a clear shot at the beast from, so until they die down we have no option but to wait.

20th of Slate.
A vulture has stolen a masterfully made plump helmet roast. I'm trying to figure out why it was being stored outside.

11th of Felsite.
Goden Lokumrur has risen from the dead to haunt the fortress. Why can't he be content with the deadchat like everyone else?

1st of Hematite.
We found a cavy boar that had starved to death in the middle of the main meeting area. I hit its owner with the corpse, then gave a presentation on why it's actually necessary to feed your pets.

Well, you might have beat my record for most dwarves killed in the first month with 21 dead dwarves, but 40 is the number to beat for a year-round total.

Also, put me up for another turn.
