"I do drink. Not enough to get myself drunk. I have a duty to uphold, a concept you probably can't grasp."

"Pshaw, duty? What kind of lame excuse is that? You should be out having fun, not mucking about with this duty crap."

Rat chuckles.
"I should've guessed. Hey, do you dabble in rumors?"

"I'm a police officer, of course I do. What is it?"

Runden sighs and turns around to join Ebene. As she does so she says over her shoulder, "Talk to my partner then. She's the one who listens to those kinds of things."

"Or perhaps you need to reassess your life. I'm the one with the body, you're currently dead."

"Not for very long. In a couple of weeks I'll have my body back, while you'll still be a humourless bore chained up to your duty or whatever you want to call it. I feel sorry for you, actually. We could have had lots of fun together." And yes, another ghostly grope accompanies that last line.
