Quest for Immortality: D&D 3.5 Epic Campaign (5/5)
« on: October 16, 2014, 10:21:00 pm »

Five other faces look at you from around the circular table. Your four most trusted friends, all of them working with you in your collective aims; the fifth, your trusted, aged, wizardly advisor Norafλ. The table is littered with maps, depicting parts of the world important to your aims; mountains, forests, cities, castles, trade routes, you name it. Scrolls clutter the table, depicting powers most can only dream of. But foremost is an excessively long list of purported "artifacts" you've searched for over the years. Most are crossed out, things such as "Ring of Power--failure, ring fell in volcano", "Amulet of Deynor--dead end, was a cheap 'plast-iik' replica", and "Crown of Swords--dead end, tome containing location destroyed by lich". The last thing on the list, however, remains.

This last thing could be your last shot at immortality. That which you have searched for your entire life.

I think I'll play as a Human Dragon Shaman... It's not on the tier list but I've seen it suggested as Tier 4. For now I'll assume it has no tier listing [thus no benefit].

I have no idea what I'm going to be playing.

Half Copper Dragon-Orc Barbarian Dragon Shaman [brass] because I like the idea that he tried so hard to get away from his parentage that he attempted to dedicate his life to becoming a brass dragon shaman... Unfortunately he just lacked the discipline for it.

Edit: Would the Half-Vampire template from Libris Mortis be acceptable?

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

DM question: Would you allow a Petal character?

Also, Flaws/Traits yes or no, and how many if yes?

Right. I'll work on this tomorrow.
Edit: Taw, is that tier to LA increase with each level? Or is it just the average?

10. This is, more or less, a test run for insanely high-level campaigns. Plan accordingly.
Hello. Wildshape Ranger is go. I'll go finish that sheet I abandoned for City off.

Ah, just one question; given the name of the campaign, am I to take it that our aim is to acquire immortality? Because my Wildshape Ranger already has that. If it helps, he wouldn't mind becoming a god!

Another question: Can I make Spell Immunity permanent with Permanency?

Kellendra Bloodthorne. I've got it mostly done, mainly lacking the crunchy flavor bits, and wondering what the heck to get for 50k that I already don't have. Oh, and it's still dependent on whether Half-Vampire is ok(I do have a couple backup templates just in case)

Edit: I just did the math, and when I rage and Frenzy, I have a strength total of 42, and the rage and frenzy lasts 13 rounds!
