Lamden gets Elfire! Kyle gets Francisca!

Mason knocked on the machine and Nikolai poked his head out.

: The way's clear? Great job!

He climbed out before Mason could say a word.

: Thank you all for your service. If the generators were destroyed the city could have fallen to these teleport attacks. But now that they're all up and running it's just a matter of time that the offenseive is repelled! Want to go back to the guest house?

Kyle is busy checking out his new axe, giving various tests of weight and sharpness that are getting progressively more dangerous. He seems to approve so far.

Lilly opened her mouth to speak, then closed it for a moment while she thought, then went ahead.

"Yeah, that would be a pretty strange curse to put on somebody. I mean, seems kinda useless."

Nikolai nodded and exited the room, but stopped in front of the door opposite to the generator room.

: Something wrong?

: This door...

Nikolai approached the big ornate door, with its intrincate design almost imperceptibly broken.

: This door is supposed to be sealed. It was made to be unbreakable, the things behind it are too dangerous. But if it's open it means-

Nikolai went to open the door, but it opened backwards, throwing the old man a distance away. From beyond the door a blob of darkness engulfed the group, and when it retracted, the door closed itself and Nikolai was now alone.

: Oh no... I have to get Phineas fast!


Darkness so thick you could touch it surrounded everyone in the party.

: Hey! Anyone else is here? Harlan?

Harold heard the voice of Anne-Laude and Mason seemingly far away in opposite directions.

: I'm here!

: Over here!

But when they tried moving towards each other, they found a wall in their way.

: We're trapped!

Suddenly a voice filled the room.

If it isn't my dear annoyances. What have you been up to since I last met you? I hoped you would be smart enough to keep out of my way, but you seem not. In any case, I'm not in the mood to play, especially since I lost something quite important, so if you'll excuse me...

The room lighted up ever so slightly, only to reveal the group was split up by walls of darkness making several corridors. And at the end of the corridor, some creatures were awaiting them.

These mages, they had some real gems hidden in here. I'd like you to meet my new friends, and your end with them!
