: "Face it. Either whoever this is wants us alive, or they don't. If they want us alive, they'll have to feed us. They'll be on guard at first but eventually they'll slip up and we might be able to jump them. After that we can worry about escaping.

"If they don't want us alive, they'll either leave us in here to rot or take us somewhere for execution, at which point we'll have nothing to lose and might as well escape if we can or go down fighting.

"And of course, there's always the possibility that my brother or that ladyfriend of Lamden's arrives to help.

"Point is, all we can do is wait and see what happens. And quit yelling. It's hard to tell how much airflow there is in here but exerting ourselves isn't going to help any."

[F.O.E.]

Asher groaned as the summon faded from existence, taking some of his life force with it.

"Fine, I'll wait."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Well, whatever it is, one can only hope it happens soon."

[Sirus]

: "I swear, it's almost like some of you have never been imprisoned before."

Aside from coughing at the dust kicked up by the failed summonings, Harlan seemed almost bored now that things were beginning to settle down.

Mason sighed and leaned against a wall, sliding down to sit.

: While we wait, why don't you tell me how everything went to hell after I left to go deep behind enemy lines?

[Twinwolf]

"I mentioned the whole Ixion and Alberal going to war, but you didn't respond."

[Solymr]

: I did hear something about that, right next to the part where they train and arm criminals. Haven't seen much myself being in the middle of Ixion territory though.

[SeriousConcentrate]

Lilly brightened up a little.

"Hey, Albert. We can't be dead. If we were, I would probably be locked up with my mom instead of the rest of you."

[GiglameshDespair]

At that, Ketsuki smiled slightly.
"It seems there is always room for optimism."

[Ochita]

Albert wiped his mouth again, and and slumped against the wall, staying clear of his puddle of puke, his head hung low.
  "S-Sorry for puking so much.." Albert quietly mumbled. He looked up at Lilly when she brightened up.
  "Well... Hell's never been described as a cramped dusty cell in any of the books I've read before.. No afterlife, really... Albert paused for a while.
  "I... I.." Albert drew himself closer. "..I guess I was being silly, huh.."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Eh. Honestly I think we've all been really stressed out recently, with being on the run and then this war. We were all going to snap sooner or later; it's probably best it happened now when there's really nothing to lose by us shouting at each other."

[Sirus]

: "Nothing except air."

[GiglameshDespair]

Ketsuki moved dover to Albert and rested a hand on his shoulder. She smiled faintly down at him.
"Well, it was my suggestion, was it not? So if you are feeling too foolish, I suppose I will have to as well." She looked up at Lilly. "How is your lip?"

Lilly touched it.

"I think it will be fine. Just stings a little, really."
