Albert managed out a small smile, and looked at Ketsuki.
  "W-Well.. Thanks. But you don't have to feel foolish for my sake."

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Hmm. Mason, I've just thought of something. They sent you to Strohnban for being a prophet, right? And they sent every prophet they could find there. Do you think maybe the whole point of the indoctrination is so that whatever a prophet is meant to find, they'll find it for Ixion? The random criminals-into-soldiers thing was probably just a method of refining their techniques so they would work on the people they were really after. Do you think that's possible?"

[Solymr]

: That's one possibility. A worrying one since what I saw was the end of the world. What I think is that they're trying to silence that so their people focus on war and conquest, inflating their ranks with criminals and probably using brainwashed prophets to counteract the actual ones.

: Have you learned anything new related to the Waygate and the prophecy?

[SeriousConcentrate]

"No, not really. We were on the run. We went up into Kizamo after you left, where we met Harlan's brother Harold. It turns out he was in trouble with this masked magician, who basically held me for ransom so everyone else would get this artifact for him. Supposedly this artifact would allow him to break through any sort of 'lock'. Anyway, he got it, and we made our way up to Alberal to meet up with Lamden's commander. And we had just done that when Ixion attacked and we all got captured again."

Lilly sighed with a shrug.

"Sorry I couldn't be more help."

[Solymr]

Mason was a bit surprised at the artifact mention.

: Well... I should tell you what I saw then.

He took a deep breath.

: After we separated I took some time to reach the capital, Ixionia. That's where I heard all about the war and Strohnban. Then I went into the mountains where the Waygate was supposed to be...

: And I found it, but I wasn't the only one there. There were some hooded people chanting and doing rituals, and I saw it opening. Fortunately it didn't open completely... but it was enough for what they wanted. They... had some other person unconscious or dead there and...

: They sent him to the other side through the gate. And then I don't remember anything until waking up here with all of you. Point is, someone is trying to open it and sending people as sacrifices, so there might be not much tine left before they fully open it.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"Damn..."

Lilly ran her hands through her hair.

"Is there anything we can do about it?"

[Solymr]

: Whatever it is that we do, it should probably involve getting out of here, but seems like you all needed a bit of stress relief by going collectively nuts, so whenever you're ready.

[Swordstar]

"If you can get us out of here, let's go already."

[GiglameshDespair]

"Then do not feel foolish yourself."
She raised an eyebrow at Mason.
"Perhaps you should have mentioned you had an escape method at the first moment."

[Solymr]

Mason scratched the back of his head.

: Actually, I was expecting you to figure something out when you calmed down. The summonings could work and if not the big guys could try barging through.

[SeriousConcentrate]

"So our options are: I attempt to blast the door. We ask Asher to keep trying his summons until one breaks through. We ask Kyle to charge the door until we break it down. Hmm... What do you guys think?"

[Swordstar]

"Not just Kyle. He may be slightly stronger, but I have armor to protect myself. Let's go."

And then Tomik threw himself at the door in an attempt to push it open.

[GiglameshDespair]

"If you have got a limited ability to cast, best you conserve your strength for combat if possible. We might as well try muscle power first. As demonstrated."

Kyle shakes his head at Tomik's amateurish technique.
"No, don't do that, you're just gonna dent your armor. You gotta take a solid stance and then push with constant force. Lunaria's tits man..."
With that, Kyle takes his own (probably good considering he's the one with a perk relating to destroying buildings) advise and begins pushing on the left side of the door.

[Solymr]

The door creaked slightly when Tomik charged, bouncing him back. It didn't leave much of a mark.

However when Kyle started pushing the door, it started creaking harder, but his strength alone wasn't going to break through.
