Yay!

I was wondering why there was no roll.

Shogun 2 has speeches by the general before each battle, if there is a general, and I tried to use that for some of the inspiration (although the last part I thought was pretty good and got on my own, more or less :P), so hopefully that helped.

I really thought that was what was missing from Rome 2. The original Rome: Total War had speeches, but Rome 2 didn't, and that made me sad.

While I don't have Rome 2, after watching a critique of it that made a decent amount of sense, I'm glad I didn't spend the money on it(I'd still like to get it, but not $60 kind of like to get it).

Have they improved the AI, at least? Shogun 2 AI was pretty annoying. Any kind of none-hostile relationship degraded so fast into war it was unreal. Vassals were pointless.

I'm using Darthmod.

As in it changes the AI.

Right now, I'm still doing stuff on Normal(yeah yeah I know) but I have approximately 70% of Japan arrayed against me, and am still winning.

Anyway, I may have accidentally encouraged a tangent in my own thread.
Back on topic: I'm waiting for everyone to post an action before I update. Don't want to assume someone is going to find Davora when they might have something they feel is more pressing.

Alleecat, have you rolled for my familiar's abilities yet, or do I do that?

I've been thinking, and I think it'll depend on how the story goes, whether Maruko goes for the Way of Universal Righteous Endeavour(if he is restored to honor; it would likely be called Honour Beyond Reproach or something), or The Way of Evil Bastards(if he continues to be a shameful ronin; probably called Honour Lies In Victory or something similar)

He's in a group with a mook. I think he can't go that bad.

Way of Evil Bastards isn't that evil, per se, and it fits both the Samurai flavor and his personal flavor better that Universal Righteous Endeavour, since it boosts relationship with evil or ambiguous Icons, while allowing more often use of Kiai Smite, rather than boosting my allies saves(which seems odd for a Samurai, you know? At least, more odd, anyway). He might not get either, depending on how the story goes.

Kind of makes sense for a spiderbot, actually.

Well, think of it this way: Boosting saves would sort of be like inspiring allies on the battlefield. Giving speeches and the like.

True. And if he gets restored to his status as a Lord, it would thusly make sense. If not, it makes more sense for him to better individually, though. So I think it'll depend on plot(as is right and proper).

The question is what other talent to take. I'm thinking Bastion...
