Do I see anything worth swiping?
There's nothing that stands out. These guys are dirt poor, so even the otherwise worthless tools you're using are considered valuable.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

"Eh. Not a total loss for me." Mic takes out his filched wineskin, takes a sip, and offers it to Wyrne.

"Not much left of a certain diplomat's valuables. Now, I look at the scepter that the young man had, and I see a nice mace with gold foil. I also see a traveling companion with no love for the religious men working at the forge. Do you see where I'm going with this?"

Razed continues talking to the old elf.

@@You see, elf, I have a bad feeling about the High Priest and his entourage. And when a paladin has a bad feeling, it warrants investigation. Most of your kind know some kind of magic. You see, I NEED to meet with the High Priest. And "Father Eogan" might interfere with that. Or his horse. I don't like his horse. If your goals here, whatever they may be, need the High Priest unsuborned and alive, you might want to help me. If what I suspect is true, I'll need backup when I go to meet with the High Priest. Magical backup. Don't think you're special or anything, but you're one of the few people here I'm SURE isn't suborned. Mostly, anyways. I can't pay much, but I have some coin. Are you in?@@

@@Someone to watch the horse. I don't like the horse. And if you have any spells that would even partially protect me from being fried by hostile magics instantly, that would be nice. Mostly, I just need someone to watch the horse. I don't like the horse. I don't think its a natural horse. Some way to test that would be appreciated, but not necessary.@@

"I don't have anything on me at the moment to see if the horse is... off, as one would say, nor do I have magic defense for you. If you wish for me to come with you, I can provide backup and provide defenses against physical attacks. Is that good?"

Without any new sights to gawk at, the crowd starts to disperse. Everyone seems to be going back to their daily chores.
Father Eogan, after having a word with one of the villagers, starts walking down to the other end of the village. He glances back to make sure he's not being followed.

A few of the peasants had the same idea, but you're quickly ushered back by the dwarven guards.

Sorry. Yeah. You're working on it, but it's going to take a while to get anything worthwhile done.

Razed goes over to the guards, elf in tow, and requests to see the High Priest.
The dwarven guards examine you closely. One of them steps forward and says, "Nope. When he's done speaking to the ambassador, you can chat to him. But not before."
