The server is lagging horribly at the time of writing.
People are even getting disconnected.
McFry could you please take a look at it?

Restarting the OS fixed it. Server is running four times faster now.

er, why is the mountain home ME system off?

EDIT:  looks like it is connected to power... used too many channels or something?  I don't know enough about it to think about fixing it

It looked unconnected to power to me.

The server seems to have caught a flu.
No mobs (mostly aggressive ones, but I think even neutral ones) that aren't forcibly spawned into the world via spawner, are spawning.

Are you too close to a magnum torch, perhaps?

No, that was happening to me, too.

Well they were spawning fine for me, and then the server reboot happened.

Would anyone consider a mutually-agreed-upon y-level for the development of cross-establishment tunnels and railways? Something like y:24, or y:14?

I think I'm too far off the beaten path to connect to this rail system, but y-14 seems like a good place to put it.  High enough to miss most of the major lava, low enough to not require serious bridgework.

Any ME wiz around to solve my dillema?
I pulled a long cable to be able to use a terminal, but it did not connect to the storage. I used a network tool on the end and it found all the other machines connected.
I went back and checked earlier parts of the cable if i were able to connect there but i had to go back quite a bit before it worked.

what type of cable did you use, I find that the enderio dense me cables can only carry a channel correctly for 20  or so blocks, swapping out a dense ME AE cable once in awhile seems to do the trick

I tried this but it does not seem to have made any difference.
-edit-
it seems gitchy as hell. I swapped a stretch of EnderIO cable for dense ME cable and it kinda works... occasionally.

[Drabonbonia here]
I've just crashed the server when I entered a Descriptive book, sorry.
I thought it was fine because everyone told me to make an age for minning and quarrying.

It usually is fine. I've made about 5-6 ages and nothing has happened, so you were just unlucky.
