Yep.  Also, if you aren't going to use buyback and since PrivateNomad is so far permitting us to gain one free LA per level of class taken in a Tier 5 or 6 class, and since so many Tier 5 classes are best as dips rather than dedicated builds, you could take a +4 LA race, four levels of something like Fighter, Monk, or Healer for free +4 LA, and cap off with a fifth level in something else. 

Hmmm, a Swashbuckler 3 dip is looking more and more tempting...

That is not standard rules, that is homebrew to go with the tier system, check with the GM 1st
