The Fine Young Capitalists are making a game jam focusing around women in the games industry (specifically, they're getting women who have never made a game before and having them make a game concept) and they've had them make a pitch and (on some of them) a demo.

I think their page says it much better than I do, so click the link at the top.

Sadly, at this point in time, their IndieGOGO page has been hacked, so there's no way to donate. They should be getting that sorted soon, however. EDIT: Their IndieGOGO is back up. EDIT2: Nevermind, back down. :|

Full Disclosure: I'm not involved with The Fine Young Capitalists in any way. I just think what they're doing is a great idea.

I think the concept of the project is not so great (Look aspiring game devs getting to design their games this is a thing that never happens), but some of the ideas look pretty neat.

The puzzle platformer one got my interest due to being a puzzle platformer and the ghost one looked pretty cool too.

IIRC, they had some problems with the Zoe Quinn stuff, so I'd not be surprised if some of the people from that decided to get involved and start fucking this up. I believe they were doing it because this was 'sexist' (ie they thought that these guys, instead of helping women, thought women were pathetic and needed help to do anything).

Anyways, sounds good. Provided anything comes of it, of course.

I didn't know /v/ could make something so adorable.

If I vote, I'll be voting for that ghost game or the puzzle platformer. If the latter wins I seriously hope they get some good artists on it, the art style on it looks horrendous in my opinion.
