Ooops. Tales from the front line.
« on: August 14, 2014, 05:15:01 am »

So ... I thought I had slaughtered most of an invading army (in their sleep) as they lay in seige around a dwarf fortress.

But apparently I had slaughtered most of a series of dwarven refugee camps as they fled the fortress ahead of the incoming goblin army.

Man, are you going to be embarassed when you have to explain that to the mountainhome leadership!

Talk about egg on your face!  Or blood.  Mostly lots of blood on your face.  Not so much egg.

It's not a war crime if you were liberating them. Or something to that effect anyway.

They had suspicious titles. Like 'overlord' and 'ringleader'. And there were some goblins among them.

It was a bit of a surprise to me when I got back to the fortress and the trader spat at me.

I'm telling you, they looked like terrorists!

The problem there is that you wake them up.

Would you kill random people who are sleeping or find out they are the enemy?

Had to look in Legends Viewer (and then in actual legends mode) to see who the heck I'm supposed to be looking for because nobody is giving any real clues.

Is there any working Legends Viewer for Xubuntu Linux 64b?

You'll have to ask in the thread for it over in the third party programs section, no idea about one that works for Xubuntu Linux.

When I talk to a soldier, I go to his name under people and it lists he is a hearthperson(if he is) and what faction. Did you try that?

I guess I could, although the town got screwed up by an insurrection and all shops turned into taverns.

You're talking to the same people who came up with mermaid genocide for monetary gain

murdering people in their sleep without knowing if they are friend or for is not a problem
