Steven continues watching, eager to see the final production.

They're nearing completion - the little city of lights they've got going is looking awfully pretty despite being mostly made of plain metal poles and weird-looking spheres. More and more people are gathering, and you get the feeling Ilo's getting ready to give a speech or something of that nature, given that some people appear to have set up a podium for him.

Kyle nods.
"Yeah, going over to my buddie's house to figure out why I got shot."

You kind of got shot because you thought it was a good idea to stab someone who'd pulled a gun and tried to mug you and your buddy in an alley, and were not persuaded otherwise when you got shot in the ensuing scuffle, proceeding to stab the thug three quarters to death (he presumably made up the difference on his own afterward). You were feeling mighty pleased with yourself and then you... blacked out, you guess? Anyway, you probably passed out from blood loss. That's what you remember of the incident. Considering the following events, that's probably when you triggered, so it's a reasonable guess that your powers went off somewhere in the process.

"Oh. I guess I can take you there, unless you mind."

((Oh well))

"Don't you dare ignore me you drug fueled piece of shit!" Carrie screams following Alex.  No way was he ignoring her.

This time he doesn't even look at you, being much more interested in whatever's happening in the stadium, that is to say marginally so. Clearly too good to listen to the likes of you, that guy. Maybe you should teach him a lesson, you should.

Meanwhile, you notice that suspicious guy you talked to before in one of the VIP boxes. He looks like he's having fun. There's alcohol and he's even got a friend. Meanwhile, in the crowd you notice both Ilo and One-Eighty, but not Dissent. You guess she either really is here incognito, or they were lying about her coming for some reason. Or maybe she canceled at the last moment, who knows?

Selina is still blushing quite a bit, but slowly seems to get over her embarrassment as she lowers the menu slowly.

"W-w-w-would you l-like this... t-to be a date...?" She asks in a very quiet voice, barely qualifying as a whisper.

Rita inhales sharply while keeping her mouth closed for a moment and slowly raises an eyebrow.

"... uh, would you?" she asks gently after a bit of thought.

"Nah, I don't mind. I don't have a car. I think... Even if I did I forgot where I live."
Kyle shrugs. Such is life in Scotruslatvia.

"Oh hey, they've pulled out a podium. Twenty bucks says the speech is pretentious." jokes Steven as he waits for it to begin.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

Selina gives the tiniest of shrugs, having no idea what to think right now. She didn't even know why she was asking anything like this at all! She had known Rita for not even a day!

"I... I d-don't know... I don't know wh-what I want..."

Alex would look back and see Mrs. Black's daughter. He ignored the rude little shit and went to get a seat and look around. In the mean time, he would call dog kibbel and check to see when his costume would be ready.

Carrie follows him in, "Perhaps you didn't hear me, last time."  Her voice could best be described as poisoned honey, "I asked if you were going to make a scene... here... today."

"Nah, I don't mind. I don't have a car. I think... Even if I did I forgot where I live."
Kyle shrugs. Such is life in Scotruslatvia.

"Okay, just figured I should make sure."

Anywho, you ride out with your new friend Todd to your buddy's place - at least you haven't forgotten where that is yet, you're pleased to note. It takes a bit of time to get there, but you're there. Do you knock twice or enact some sort of other bizarre guest ritual you've worked out with the fellow?

"Oh hey, they've pulled out a podium. Twenty bucks says the speech is pretentious." jokes Steven as he waits for it to begin.

"No bet!" says your companion. "I mean, can you even imagine the odds that it won't be?"

He laughs. Meanwhile, Ilo takes up position at the podium, although you can't see a mic there, and you don't imagine he'd be very audible in the stadium with the din of the crowd and all. Instead, you think you see him doing something else with the podium - people seem to be handing him various computer parts, and he appears to be assembling a console of some kind, complete with a rather colorful custom keyboard, and doing so pretty dang fast at that.

Selina gives the tiniest of shrugs, having no idea what to think right now. She didn't even know why she was asking anything like this at all! She had known Rita for not even a day!

"I... I d-don't know... I don't know wh-what I want..."

"That is kind of a problem, I suppose," she says, leaning back a little. "But tell you what. How about we do make this a date, all experimental-like. I mean, we'll be eating and making slightly awkward smalltalk anyway. Might as well have a goal in mind, no?"

Alex would look back and see Mrs. Black's daughter. He ignored the rude little shit and went to get a seat and look around. In the mean time, he would call dog kibbel and check to see when his costume would be ready.

The peaceful feeling enveloping your mind appears to make it very easy to ignore people, especially tiny people with nothing at all of consequence to tell you. So you call your dog Kibbel without a care in the world, asking him when the costume's gonna be done.

"I dunno, haven't seen the guy yet," Kibbel says. "Been a busy day, lotta fun business to attend to. Shouldn't be more than a couple days, my guy's cool like that."

Carrie follows him in, "Perhaps you didn't hear me, last time."  Her voice could best be described as poisoned honey, "I asked if you were going to make a scene... here... today."

In the wonderful world of Alex, you are but an insect. A mere thing of no greater significance, interest or meaning than a can of old spam. As he sits down on the bleachers and gives one of his apparently way more interesting associates a call, you feel momentarily like a five-year-old at a business meeting, a feeling you no doubt do not entirely appreciate.

Selina blushes deeply, but slowly nods.

"Um... o-o-okay er... I... o-okay." She couldn't stop herself stammering, even when one of the girls came by for their order. Shakily, Selina ordered a turkey sandwich on rye.

Seize, but do not destroy the phone, use powers if I have to.

You quickly pull the phone out of the guy's hands, at which point he looks at you. Then you hear a pop. And then you're someplace else, phone still in hand.

An odd desert stretches out around you, the ground reminding you of a doormat. The sky is a rather strange pink, and the sun that shines in your eyes is an unbearable red. About twenty paces away stands the guy, looking mildly peeved as far as you can tell, though the sun once again makes it difficult to tell. A quick check with your powers tells you that there is absolutely nothing of note beyond what you've already seen in the surrounding area. Clearly there is some form of evil fuckery at work here.

Selina blushes deeply, but slowly nods.

"Um... o-o-okay er... I... o-okay." She couldn't stop herself stammering, even when one of the girls came by for their order. Shakily, Selina ordered a turkey sandwich on rye.

Rita just goes with whatever you're ordering without paying much attention to the girl, looking straight at you now.

"Okay then, the pact is sealed, as they say. Commence the wooing, then, if you will," she says, smiling at you genially.

"What are you doing, kid?"Alex would attempt to send Carrie to his pocket dimension with him.

The precocious little thing takes your phone, apparently jealous of you paying attention to Kibbel and not her. You respond by bringing her into your realm. She looks a little confused as you both appear in your little corner of the universe.

You also note that, as soon as you leave the stadium, the slightly vicious thoughts you have come to expect from yourself surface once again.

Steven continues waiting for the speech.

Ilo just keeps on working on that console of his, and soon appears to be finished, as he straightens out, cracks his knuckles, then presses down on what seems to be a key. There is no sound, but the crowd momentarily falls silent, and it's not hard to understand why - for a moment, you feel like you're in freefall. Virtually everyone in the crowd appears to be taken aback by this to a degree, including One-Eighty, who flips Ilo off. Ilo just looks at her, and for a moment you see the hint of a smile on his stony face.

"Dammit, should have taken the bet!" says your companion.

Kyle does the 'shave and a haircut' knock.

Todd elects to stay behind as you go over to your friend's place, performing a rather punchy knock. When he opens, the smell of boiled cabbage, spoiled milk and cat litter hits you at once, and you get a slightly nostalgic feeling for the time when you did not have to smell such a thing. Your friend looks rather sleepy. Must be because it's not noon yet. He invites you in without a word (though he does give you a yawn complete with severe morning breath).

(Note: you and any other player may feel free to define characters from their background on their own.)

Alex would smile. He would attempt to get rid of the sun and put images of Mrs. Black dying over and over and over again.
