"Edwardstown... don't know i-if here... is there... or how long..." Selina says slowly, still afraid. "T-tortured... for days..." She starts shaking as the memories of being cut open, dissected, and dismembered flow through her mind. She quickly surpresses them as much as she can, but its a difficult thing to do.

"Well, uh, this is still Edwardstown, yeah," Lloyd says.

"And now you're okay. Say it with me. You're okay now. You're free, and nobody's going to hurt you," Tim adds, nodding at you.

Throwing his arms up slightly with a quite celebratory cheer Steven marvels at his accomplishment for a quick moment and then wisely flees from the scene.

Once safely away from prying eyes he pauses and contemplates the viability of simply sending out a shockwave to lure a police officer into an ambush and then raiding their cruiser for the gear he desired to form his costume and less destructive arsenal.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

"Frrr... free... No will hurt me... I am free... and I can't go home..."

"You... can't go home?" Lloyd asks, having keener ears than his appearance would suggest. "Why?"

"Shush, Lloyd. Let's just take some deep breaths here and relax. Get your bearings, Selina."

Fortunately for you, police response times are nowhere near as fast as you are.

Anyway, you're pretty sure that if a police officer hears an explosion, they wouldn't just walk right into it without at least calling it in. Especially when one considers the fact that there probably have been reports of random explosions in town and that you did hint rather overtly that this may be the work of a murderous cape to the police, which may lead to them calling up a good deal of reinforcements.

"Put me down or I don't tell you." Her voice becoming harder.

"Tell me or I don't put you down," Birdbrain says without feeling.

Selina takes a minute or two to take several deep breaths to calm down, trying to keep her wits about her and not lose herself again.

"He... c-cut my leg... right off... then he h-healed it back... a-and then cloned me fr-from the old l-l-leg..." Selina very slowly explained, visibly shaking still.

"That's fu-" Lloyd begins incredulously, but Tim cuts him off.

"Shh," Tim says. "Let's not dwell on things right now, okay? You can explain things at your own pace, when you want, if you want. Is that okay? We're not going to interrogate you, Selina."

Carrie pouts. "This is becoming close to kidnapping.  Let me down."

"Tell me first," he says. "Don't evade. I don't know you, and you're suspicious."

"Wrong," Birdbrain says, tilting his head again as he narrows his eyes. "Don't evade the question," he then repeats, a little quicker than previously.

"Put me down and I'll tell you what you want."

"Tell me what I ask and I will put you down," Birdbrain insists. There's a verbal impasse here, and you're fairly sure he's not the type to back down from those.

"Put me down or I'll scream."

He winces a little at the thought, but does not put you down.

"I... will not until you tell me. Just tell me who is chasing you, and I will put you down."

Carrie's face becomes serious and she begins to struggle, "Put. me. down."

(Still a couple seconds above the ground?)
