I'd double check your raws to make sure you set it up correctly, unless toady snuck something in there to make adamantine creatures killable.

I posted in the modding forum about it. Presumably it should be all right, since bronze colossi (also presumably, I haven't fought one yet) don't lose limbs to kicks. It does seem to be an issue with general fragility rather than bogeymen being OP, since I fought some gobbos with another one and a bash(!) severed my hand. Later, that colossus also fell to bogeymen, with one hit punching away the same lower arm and another removing a leg.

Colossi have strangely slim connections between bodyparts. The best weapons to sever their limbs in 0.34 were spears and pikes (of better material then bronze) and they could be bisected with an arrow.

Science is always important. But it needs more flaming cats. Can't we build bridge-based catapults and fling flaming cats at the dust and goo?

It's time for the ATHATH Death Counter to increase once more in celebration for the end of the world.

After fixing them to actually have tissues, they are quite literally immortal in combat. Nothing can damage an adamantine colossus, not even another adamantine colossus wielding an adamantine zweihander. Arrows are similarly ineffective.

My own modding experience can attest to this. Protip: creating civs of such creatures is a bad idea, as you will inevitably get tons of quests to kill them and not be able to for you can only engage in an endless battle

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

Wouldn't anti-adamantine be the antimatter version of adamantine?

It was inevitable.

Y'know, because that's DF's "I don't know anything better to say" response...

Look, don't get your quarks in a tangle. I know my nucleon physics and antepasta has nothing to do with it.

'What is life?', you ask. Fundamentally life is the apotheosis of pointlessness. We live to multiple. But what for? The Endless cycle of carnage pulls hardest on the furthest victim. An inescapable fate; one no one wants but we all desire. The more immoral we become the more ideal we are. A perverse oxymoron. We who live unencumbered but are the most burdened. We fight but at the end it is all for naught, as in life there are no winners; only the undistinguished.

Since it's "add-amantine", and "remove" is the opposite of "add", rmamantine ("remove-amantine")? :)
