My guess is that there'll be a town at the edge of that forest. Lumber is important for the progression of a settlement.

You don't have a hammerstomach, but you do have a bag. You put the map in the bag and scrunch the bag as you do it to imitate a mouth.

You head outside the ruins. You find a group of adventurer-looking types looking like they're trying to investigate the ruins.

Anyway, Hsai grabs some dirt and rubs it into your map at the approximate location of the city.
