I've been able to explore my dreams and interact with the people in them more completely. It's surreal to the point of consciously jumping between realities (and in most cases, these other realities don't have the same rules, maths, or physics as our reality; or magic could be scientifically explained, and required no technology to accomplish (casting thunder shockwaves is simple, though without technology, is a bit of a challenge (cool down air into a compression of liquid/solid form, and rapidly heat it up to sublimate (solid to gas), and KABOOM! An effective means of wrecking all kinds of shit in the skies, or a wave-maker in water (make condensation-ball, and expand and retract at regular intervals, and anywhere is a wave pool)), and devastating with the right/wrong use)).
Further notes: Some people do behave like NPCs; where it would make sense to have a non-sentient human being. It's surreal watching a person take the kinds of crap they get handed by customers, and not react whatsoever, except doing their job; no effect on their emotions or motivation/drive, like they're machines, and they always serve with a smile (not even a glint of misery). That's not normal. I worked in service before, and I can tell these things. In some cases, I've seen other PCs just test the integrity of these NPCs, and they're legit. You'd never expect it to be creepy, but even that caught me off-guard as a little off-putting. In other cases, there are other Users/PCs in the field as well. I'm just curious now if I can dream up a central hub location where other minds hang out; and especially where time and space don't matter. I mean, I've been able to sleep for dozens of hours, only to wake up and realize I've been asleep for about half as long; other times, they've felt like lifetimes were lived, and then I wake up. Time dilation is a trip; especially when you're unaware of the time in your native 'verse.
Overall, I do hope to meet some of the people I've run into in my dreams. They were pretty awesome. I mean, it's nice to be around compatible minds once in awhile. I mean, you think dealing with me was headache-inducing; wait until you deal with a squad of others like me acting as a single unit. Haven't seen so many things react with absolute terror in such a long time; and being the cause of it (in a good way) is truly satisfying. Given my past of being on the receiving end for as long as I remember, would you blame me for enjoying being the ass-kicker this time? Not to mention, having learned from my enemies, and still being a survivor; whew, Fear Incarnate (AKA-Tangible Nightmare; "Godslayer" being another title I earned) is a hell of a title to be given in dreamworlds; by nightmares themselves. Makes me feel like Alucard in Hellsing.
Funny thing, I think this has infected other peoples' dreams, since I recall my sister once having a nightmare, only for my character to completely wreck the nightmare cause in her dream (unlike everyone else in her dream, I showed no fear, and even mocked the
BBEG (I think it was some demon-lord evil guy like in Stephen King's The Stand (The Tall Man/
The Dark man); even after falling into one of his traps (I let him set off, intentionally; or so I was told.)). Even he showed terror at what I was capable of, and this wasn't even my dream. I think it's possible to dream-hop/psycho-dive/island-hop dreams, because I think I remember having a dream involving a similar scenario that was described. I was having fun the whole time, unaware of my surroundings, and the fear in everyone else initially at the nightmare. Then again, I could be making connections where there aren't any. If I defeated my sister's nightmare as she described, then I am a badass in the Dreamverse/Psychic Planes.
