Simple question what is your favorite biome?

Personally I like Tropical broadleaf forests, because they have a large number of creatures, and I can create an army of giant killer cats.

I prefer temperate broadleaf forests, with a minor river.

Just me.  Oh and in Orichalcum there are the occasional steeloak trees for use in anti-elf weaponry.

It's hard to say, because I vary between making underground and above-ground forts. I love Mountains for the underground ones, but I'm not too picky about my choice of area for an above-ground fort as long as it's pretty flat...

I always end up ACCIDENTALLY in a swamp, because I'm watching the site's elevation screen instead of reading the side panels o3o Ooooooooooops.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that dislikes tropical conifers.

It's not a mountainhome without a mountain to carve into. A sheer cliff face is like a canvas to me, and I go for those before anything else. Granted, resources can get a bit tight at times, but I make do.

I like mountains that are 'Joyous Wilds' so I can decorate my masterwork adamantine battle axes with unicorn horn handles. The only problem are the gnomes that steal your beer.

Temperate forests, and sometimes shrublands.

Every so often I'll wander into tropical regions as well, though I tend to avoid forests there.

Oh, and I also like sand deserts. But temperate forests are my "favorite" :P

I'm a dumb hipster who plays older Dorf Fort versions. Mostly DF2010 and 40d. I also make and play a lot of silly mods, and find my own ways to have Fun.
