While playing Bioshock 2, I had a Little Sister on my shoulders. When I set some Splicers on fire with the Incinerate Plasmid, she quips "How about some scarecrow for you, fire?!". That was too clever for a child to come up with.

ADAM is a substance produced by those sea slugs that rapidly rewrites the subject's DNA; in the slug and the Little Sisters(who have a slug implanted in them), this results in rapid regeneration as damaged tissue is quickly overwritten with healthy tissue(where the material for the replacement tissue comes from is part of the pull) - one audio log mentions that a group of Splicers had tortured a Little Sister for hours before finally managing to kill her. Plasmids are ADAM derivatives that alter a Splicer's DNA in a way that lets them shoot fire/ice/lightning/bees/telekinesis/etc. from their hands. Granted, how DNA can even do that is never really explained.

Yeah, I get that, but they never go into why exactly a species of sea slugs are producing human compatible pluripotent cells. Or why they were only found by Rapture.

showed that slow-motion footage has a tendency to trick jurors into believing a subject had more time to make a decision than they did, resulting in them being more likely to believe an action was premeditated and deliberate.
It also mentions in there that the effect is reduced if the jurors were shown either both the slow-motion and normal footage, and/or explicitly how much time elapsed.

Of course I could be totally illiterate, who knows.

A friend of mine plays a lot of mobile games, get gets a little bit of money for the pay elements for them mostly from doing surveys.

One of the surveys he showed me a screenshot of.  It was some kind of survey on his thoughts of various games.  The scale at the top was:

choose 1 if the game solved all the world's problems, caused universal peace and started printing money from the cd drive.
choose 10 if the game caused your computer to hack into U.S. government missile silos and fire nuclear weapons at Russia, before exploding and burning down your house.
