The scene in The Naked Gun in which detective Drebin, after a complicated scene involving a damaged statue and reentering a building throuh an upper story window, is accused of several increasingly absurd counts of misconduct ending with "sexual assault with a concrete dildo"

ClF3.

More oxidising than oxygen.

”It is, of course, extremely toxic, but that's the least of the problem. It is hypergolic with every known fuel, and so rapidly hypergolic that no ignition delay has ever been measured. It is also hypergolic with such things as cloth, wood, and test engineers, not to mention asbestos, sand, and water-with which it reacts explosively. It can be kept in some of the ordinary structural metals-steel, copper, aluminium, etc.-because of the formation of a thin film of insoluble metal fluoride which protects the bulk of the metal, just as the invisible coat of oxide on aluminium keeps it from burning up in the atmosphere. If, however, this coat is melted or scrubbed off, and has no chance to reform, the operator is confronted with the problem of coping with a metal-fluorine fire. For dealing with this situation, I have always recommended a good pair of running shoes.”

A conversation earlier today.

Sibling: Hey [name], I want to borrow Sim City 4
 Me: What?
Sibling: I want to borrow Sim City 4
Me: I thought you said you want C4
 Sibling laughs.
Me: First of all, why do you want C4? Second of all, what makes you think I have some?

DICTIONARY, n. A malevolent literary device for cramping the growth of a language and making it hard and inelastic. This dictionary, however, is a most useful work

I especially like these entries:

OATH, n. In law, a solemn appeal to the Deity, made binding upon the conscience by a penalty for perjury.
IGNIS FATUUS, n. Love.
VOTE, n. The instrument and symbol of a freeman's power to make a fool of himself and a wreck of his country.
SATAN, n. One of the Creator's lamentable mistakes, repented in sashcloth and axes. Being instated as an archangel, Satan made himself multifariously objectionable and was finally expelled from Heaven. Half-way in his descent he paused, bent his head in thought a moment and at last went back. "There is one favor that I should like to ask," said he.
"Name it."
"Man, I understand, is about to be created. He will need laws."
"What, wretch! you his appointed adversary, charged from the dawn of eternity with hatred of his soul — you ask for the right to make his laws?"
"Pardon; what I have to ask is that he be permitted to make them himself."
It was so ordered.

You should see O2F2, The stuff is so reactive that we don't even know how it reacts with a bunch of stuff, because you get these huge releases of energy. For example with basic hydrogen sulfide you get releases of energy in the range of 433+ kcal per mole! (That's about 3-4x more energy than TNT for you laypeople). Also these explosions? They happen in the -300 degrees Fahrenheit range. It's one of the handful of things out there that will make ice explode. :P

Here's a link to an article on it by the same in the pipeline guy.

Crossposting from WTF thread because shit why not.
Why does this exist. Who thought this was a good idea to make.

French police have arrested a man suspected of planning an attack on "one or two churches", the country's interior minister has said.
The man, a 24-year-old Algerian national, was detained on Sunday in Paris after he apparently shot himself by accident and called an ambulance.
Thank god for the incompetence of the evil.
