Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Yeah I feel like that KB could've been charging forwards out of the portal to look cooler too.
But 40k-ifying it would probably need a full conversion job, like slapping cables all over it and whatnot.

(Full disclaimer, I have no idea what those are in fantasy fluff.)

The portal is a Realmgate from AoS. They're portals between the nine realms that make up the setting.

My intent is for it to be a daemonic portal that serves as the harbinger of my warband's attacks on worlds, similar to how the Harvest warband travels through the Warp using Warp Talon's ability to slice holes in reality.

I plan to leave the portal quite fantasy in appearance, though I will add some Khornate touches to it. The base it's mounted on will be getting some dead space marines or a shattered chunk of rhino chassis added to it.

As for why the 'zerker has no legs, this was just a test of the concept and I didn't want to go slicing up any legs just yet.

It would be amazing to see Abaddon on a destroyer chassis, floating around as Abaddon the legless

Decided to put in some knifework on my portal 'zerker since the response I've gotten to the idea has been positive.

Looking pretty sexy so far, I can already imagine a group of Guardsmen sipping recaff around the portal just looking at it like 'well. Nice knowing you lot' whilst the berserker just pops through all 'Do you have time to hear about BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD?'

Off the top of my head, the closest thing is the Special Weapon Squad, which is a 6-man squad of men who can take 3 special weapons.
So as the Vendetta Gunship has 6 models capacity, the favored tactic is to flyover some tanks or something, drop the 6 men using the grav-chute, three of whom either have meltas or the SWS-exclusive demolition charges.

A Demolition charge is a one-use 6" S8 AP2 large blast. As such, they can scatter up to 9", meaning you've basically got kamikaze troops dropping with backpacks full of explosives who attempt to throw them onto tanks.

"Why don't you just drop the bombs?"
"What? Aw crud, stowaways got into the bomb-bays again, didn't they?"
