Knowing Belgium, everyone will vote for themselves out of mistrust for anyone else, and some kind of weird direct democracy coalition will need to be formed from 11 million or so individuals.

Heh, Imp Guard ain't so zergy anymore.  :P

Daemons of Khorne, Tyranids and Renegades all manage to be more zergy since Chekov was removed and the former lot formations to do his thing.

In table top anyway, in lore the zergyness is Tyranids>Orks>IG as far I can see it. or perhaps is Tyranids>IG>Orks. Don't know if I'm missing something.

PD: Kind of ironic to measure the "zergyness" of Tyranids when the concept of the Zerg comes directly from the Tyranids after blizzard and GW part ways mid development of some warhammer/wh40K games.

I'm curious as to how a tank would evolve. Would it climb out of the primordial ooze wiggling it's track-nubs, feeding on smaller jeeps before crawling onto the shore having evolved proper treds?
My ship exploded midflight, but all the shrapnel totally landed on Alpha Centauri before anyone else did.  Bow before me world leaders!

Straight-up PPModel it son!

Conscripts = 3
Troopers = 5
Boyz = 6
Termagants = 6
Hormagaunts = 8
Guardians = 9
Bloodletters = 10

So even Eldar would actually have a better turn 1 advantage until the summoning shenanigans began.

Ah, but Bloodletters can be in a formation that lets them come back when they die Chenkov style. The make up for the expense compared to other horde units by returning for more blood even as you stomp them out. :D

As can some Tyranids (gargoyles and 'guants I think) and the 3ppm renegade infantry platoons.

Forge World has rules for them in IA13: WMotLatD. They're a lot like Imp Guard, but they've got a lot of weird bits. Mostly to do with their Command Squad and the way it changes the list.

I remember someone thinking that WHF dwarves got the squat treatment in AoS, and I figured I'd throw a mention in that GW have just revealed some new dwarf models for AoS. They seem to be more ornate versions of the Slayers with an added fire theme.

EDIT: In 40k related matters, I can't decide what to do with my plastic cataphractii terminators. I could either keep them as they are in the kit and paint them as 30k World Eaters, or convert them into 40k World Eaters and use them in my daemonkin army.  Difficult choice really, I love the models and want to use them but I can't decide which idea I prefer. :-\

FLGS is doing a kill-team=alike campaign again. I'm going with Scions themed as turn of the century big game hunters.

Meanwhile the other usual IG player bought a chaos spawn artificer armor and a thunderhammer.

(Oh god it kills everything)

The scions sniper rule works well for that.

Cheapest ObjSec unit?

In other news:
Played a lucky dip game. First time I tried it, and it's on its way to my favourite.
So a bunch of friends get together, each make a 500pt list and pick teams out of a hat.
The small size prevents people bringing big cheesy formations, the random teams stops the imperials ganging up, and everyone has a pretty fun time around the table.
From there, each player takes their turn individually, with the turn order rolled up at the beginning. Because it's such a tiny points cost, turns happen incredibly quickly.

Next experiment will be drawing the lists from a hat.

Mucolid Spores are cheaper than 'gants, and feature more in tournament lists from what I hear.

Termagants are able to pour out a lot of firepower with upgrades though and are Fearless in synapse range, so if you can't run a tourney style Flyrants, Mucolids and Harpies/Crones list they're just about the best thing 'nids have in Troops.
