For ss, check the ultimate appcalypse mod. You won't regret it.

It is literally ridiculously good. Sometimes I just play to set up in the middle of the map as imperial guard and watch as it turns in to every battle of futuristic vietnam as everywhere gets trips in the wire.

Yes, honorable battle bruva. That is Captain Indrick Boreale.

Hold off maps are very fun with Ultimate Apocalypse. I like one map called "The Grind" which is a S shaped road leading from one base to the other with buildings on either side. Had one game with me and A.I as Eldar vs 2 Tyranid factions that went for ages. Webway gates right next to the enemies base allowed me to very slowly pick off their structures.

There's actually a submod for UA being developed that adds Warlord and Imperator titans. Warlords are full scale but I believe the Imperator had to be reduced in size by 10% otherwise it couldn't move anywhere. It might be being integrated into the main mod based on a recent screenshot.

I don't really like any of the fuckhueg titans since they block off half the screen and you can't even see them in full detail.

Power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, as the saying goes. So....why wasn't the Emperor "corrupted" after so many tens of thousands of years where at any point he could've just declared himself Emperor and basically sit on his laurels? Would the Emperor have been "corrupted" if he'd succeeded in conquering the galaxy? Why or why not?

Empy had plenty of that from the moment he declared himself and conquered Terra. Dickishness is a key part of expanding an empire.

Honestly some of these questions just sound like 2/10 trolling sometimes.
But I still answer them so hey.

Yes the Emperor is a dick. However, it was in his best interest to run a well-maintained and useful government (Seeing as the entirety of humanity was his, he didn't really have any personal ambitions so much as ambitions for his empire). Hence why he was so good to people.
But never underestimate his dickishness. When the Word-Bearers started spreading the worship of the god-emperor, he called them together in the largest, holiest city they had constructed, then burnt it to the ground and made every single one of them kneel in the dust of their greatest accomplishment and re-swear to the Imperial Creed.
(No gods, No masters, Only science)

Isn't that the one with SPESS MAHREENS and STEEL REHN and BLOD REHVENS and EMPRAH?

DOW 2 was the one more noted for its fluffmarines.

On the other hand, I think Erebor was already corrupted by that point.

But yeah, The Emperor was a man like any other. Even with thirty+ thousand years of experience under your belt (ands fighting a constant psychic battle with senility and memory blur), parenting can still be hard, and mistakes can still be made. Prejudices can still exist, and the Emperor disliked religion on a personal level. To him, it probably felt like a betrayal to idolize him as a god. His reaction was still quite disproportionate, and it's likely that in hindsight he probably regrets having done that.

He was just a guy who tried to do what he could, half for shits and giggles it seems like half the time(hey, when you're that old, good entertainment is hard to come by), half for the benefit of humanity (because apparently the Emperor thought 'fuck aliens' and everyone either agreed or died) and also happened to be incredibly overwhelmingly powerful.
