OSX | DFHack 0.40.16-r1 with Stonesense
How did you compile Stonesense? I haven't been able to compile it on any platform since the emotion changes in 0.40.14.
Naive happiness patch. It runs, and feels as stable as usual on osx, but that's not too much. :)

Eh, this is probably impossible - but I'm going to ask anyway. :P

Say you have retired fortress which falls while you are in adventure mode. If you reclaim you find it is full of all the dwarves that were in there before it 'fell' and they are all listed in 'other' as 'hostile'.

Is there any way to fix it so that they are considered part of the fortress' population - either before or after it is reclaimed?

I'm sorry, but DFHack still seems to crash when item-trigger is used like this: modtools/item-trigger -itemType ITEM_SHOES_PIPBUCK -onEquip -command [ modtools/add-syndrome -syndrome "PipBuck" -target \\UNIT_ID ]

If you wish, here is a crash dump.

When does it crash? Immediately after calling it or when they equip it or unequip it? Arena or fort mode?

Immediately  after unpausing in Fortress Mode.

wow that worked like a charm. Thanks. I wouldn't cheat that much but the stress system currently just makes dwarves useless after a couple years.

Apparently I wasn't watching that repo, so I never noticed that PR. Thanks!

Edit: Also, how did you create that package? It appears from the filename that you used something other than "make package".

There was a typo in the siegers' campfire code. When the fires went out, so did the game.

So, to install DFHack, I'm putting in the contents of the downloaded folder into the "main" DF folder.  It's prompting me to replace some of the files ("libs" for one).  Should I go ahead and replace all of them?

What platform are you using, and what files are in the archive? It sounds like you're using OS X, but OS X DFHack builds shouldn't ship the "libs" folder at all.

OSX, yes.  Files are libs, stonesense, hack, dfhack, dfhack-run, and dfhack.init-example.  Should I ditch the libs file that got downloaded?

Oh, Stonesense might require libs/libfreetype.dylib. I don't think anything else needs to be overwritten.

I noticed there wasn't a pre-compiled version for linux this time around. I compiled one with gcc4.9.1, tested on ubuntu 14.04.

http://dffd.wimbli.com/file.php?id=10101

will be using it for the LNP later tonight.

I put up a build of 0.40.16-r1 at https://github.com/lethosor/dfhack/releases, which uses GCC 4.5. GCC 4.9 builds don't work on systems that don't have GCC 4.9 available (which includes a number of Ubuntu distros).

It's left out of the Windows build as well, since #25 hasn't been merged yet.
