Kyle pats her back. At this point it's apparent Kyle doesn't have a cake.

"Thinking before speaking is a good skill. I'd recommend it."

She turns to Beryl and sighs. Whatever, everyone else apparently knew about it now, why not this kid too?

"Progressive nerve disease. It'll kill me eventually, but in the meantime I get to keep walking and not shitting myself because of a machine hooked up to my nervous system. I suppose people with pacemakers ar-"

When Kyle pats her back, she stops, and he realizes he'd felt something harder than skin under his hand. She turns to him slowly.

"Why. Would you. Do that?"

Kyle suddenly looks surprised.
"Oh... I'm sorry. You looked upset so I was patting your shoulder, I should have asked if you had personal space issues..."
Now Kyle looks sad.

[SOLDIER First]

Kimiko bangs her head on the table.

"Progressive nerve disease. It'll kill me eventually, but in the meantime I get to keep walking and not shitting myself because of a machine hooked up to my nervous system. I suppose people with pacemakers are cyborgs too, then."

"Urk... uummm..."

Beryl glances around nervously.

"I...  had no idea..."

He takes off his glances and pretends to clean them for a second, so that he can't see everyone's faces.

He raises his hands in a non-threatening gesture.
"I'm trying, but I still fuck up social shit more often than not."

[SOLDIER First]

Bang, bang, bang.

"Normally I don't. But, you were there last night, yes? With the rest of them? So you know what kind of night I've had."

She holds up the half-full coffee mug.

"And the caffeine has not reached my brain yet. So forgive me for being snappy right now, but I'd rather not be patronized."

"I... wasn't. What happened last night?"

((She's become way meaner than I had meant for her to be, originally.

Hopefully that'll change once she's had her coffee.))

"I become more of a cyborg, from the sounds of it. In a manner suitable to make you vomit."

She closes her eyes and places a hand underneath where Kimiko is about to bang her head again, and is surprised when it doesn't actually really hurt.

"Please stop. I wouldn't want to see you in pain...and also you're giving me a migraine."

[SOLDIER First]

Kimiko looks up at Daoto and then nods.

Kyle puts a chocolate in front of Kimiko and Daoto.

"Alex made a bunch of extremely... lifelike... images documenting the process."

[SOLDIER First]

Kimiko sits up in her chair and looks at the chocolate.
"What is this?"

Daoto stares at it for a minute, eyes sorta glazed over.

Her stomach rumbles loudly.

"I think that I should probably eat something healthy before eating desserts."

She gets up and leaves to go get food.

She'll probably be back in a few minutes.

((Also she did not hear the comment about Alex drawing her while she was unconscious with her shirt partially off or she'd have to kill him))
