I don't actually want any, I'm happier playing as a relatively minor race just bouncing around.

Main query was why I can't simply transport the 10 food and 10 production plus the population to a planet for somebody else and deliver it, the only difference between it and a colony ship is it doesn't take a turn to build.

Also, what would happen if I went past my population limit? A planet would turn into a hive world so what about a worldship?

We can use influence to infiltrate each other, could we do the reverse and use it to protect somebody else the same way we protect ourselves?

Do migrations between sectors take an appropriate number of turns? I noticed that my migrants were not listed on either world.

Can trade fleets bring resources back and forth, or only one way. As in, could one trade ship bring food to a forge world and take trade goods back?

Well, fluff wise your planetships are a bit bigger, totally incapable of landing, and not equipped with any terraforming or equipped with other nessecairy installations.

Pewds the point in COlony SHips is to keep Colonization in check and an expensive and dangerous business. So that not everybody sents out hudnreds of them out and i am stuck with running numbers for 40 new worlds at the same time.

You can work together and use your Influence in unison.
Worldships going over the population limit suddenly see their production used for the production of Warships which will then split off from the mainfleet and wander the stars as pirates.

4maskwolf yes your population is listed, on the recieving world with for example 5/5(1)/10 the thing in the brackets being the new arriving population. Migration as stated before takes one turn.
Trade Fleets only work one way thats to save my sanity and because Icly a Trade Fleet needs an entire turn flying one route.

It does? Never saw that before. Kinda ruins my entire strategy, as my Hub world will turn into a hiveplanet.

In fact, as far as I have found it wasn't stated before. Actually, the statement below implied that migration was instantaneous, being completed before the end of the turn when food is consumed and pop growth occurs.

Migration happens before food consumption.

oh...crap. I just realized that myself. I won't change it for this turn but startin with next turn migration will be instantaneous, that makes it actually a lot more easy for me.

If I put money into one project then I do a different one next turn will the first one keep it's current investment until I come back to it


If somebody has say only level 5 ships could they buy the research for level 8? Or would they have to buy 6 and 7 first?

For the second question: the latter, it's a tech tree.

Do two trade routes going in different directions require different guards, even if they are between the same planets?

Also, shouldn't the turn be updated to reflect the destruction of the trade fleet?
