Lucen tried damn hard to hide the freakish-out-of-nowhere-hahahaha blush that started at the mention of licking, just barely keeping it from showing, before turning to smile at Alice. The other girl obviously wasn't interested in romantic engagements, but nonetheless, Lucen made quite the strapping young man, at least in appearance.

"I'm pretty sure there'll be blood either way, uhhh- Alice, was it?"

Teeechnically your contract said to work with every member they assigned to your team, they just didn't specify that it would be someone like me. Sooorta surprised they didn't though, seems like something they should have.

Alice looked at the young man. Hmm. Not a bad looker, actually. And handy with a knife. Dexterous hands was always good. He'd realised the problem companion as well. But there was the mission first, and anything else would have to wait until after.

She grinned back at Lucen. "Alice Konicek, yeah. Lucen Katawari, wasn't it? D-22's a good mech. The Jupitar Patriots used a lot of them... you didn't work for them, did you? Her grin grew wider, but took on a slightly predatory air.

Lucen grins back, the knife disappearing quickly, and with as little indication as when it had come out. She leaned back and meets Alice's gaze dead on, deep eyes conveying just as much will as her new ally. The grin was a lopsided thing, endearing in it's not-quite-awkwardness, if one thought of it that way. Lucen, of course, simply thought she was being friendly, in the mercenary sort-of way.

"Katawai. But no, I didn't work for the Patriots; I was with SinCon Corps. before it fell under. I got my D-22 as a scrap-heap, but I've fixed it up, installed some things on it that you don't typically find. Voice-coded passwords are always nice, especially when they recognize if you're under duress. Saved my ass more than once. Yours is the X-47, I take it? Pretty piece of work, that. Don't usually see that many tubes on one though, if I remember right. You add 'em yourself?"
