Very poorly. I don't think it would have caused a levitation effect as much as it lifted him for about a second seeing as her action wasn't to gently levitate the guy but rather launch the unfortunate bastard. After all, she failed the to meet the target, that means no mechanical effects. Immobilizing him would be a mechanical effect and therefore violate the rules of combat.

...That's a lot of magic usage. Though then again seeing as everyone just spammed magic and all the enemies spammed magic and now everyone is spamming their largest spells, not too surprising.

Yeah, especially with Hilda's ungodly 156 max damage cannon.

Thank god she can't summon things, or I imagine she could easily summon another archon for a dozen turns, if she got good rolls.

How much charge is Arcane Solstice getting each turn? Or is this the kind of thing I should test by shooting the Archon once it's below half?

I give it a turn's worth of armor per charge. This is going to do some hella damage.

Well, I suppose it could, but then I have a feeling everyone will get pissed about a fully healed Archon with regen

Then again, you'd all be dead from the archon's chain attacks if I didn't redact them. Maybe a touch too high-levelled.

Perhaps have future bosses of that type multi-stage? So that after taking enough damage, it starts breaking out the heavy attacks, so until then the PCs have time to debuff it, apply status effects and heal up before launching a desperate damage race?

What sort of chain attacks? The ones like Mary's?

He can trade some of his damage output to deal chain damage instead.
