Hey @Elf, just to clarify, how far does the Ryan household anti-magic field extend?

Literally, the front porch.

Seeing as those constructs are on the front porch, my estimate of the Supernatural Combat Specialist's combat prowess has now fallen from 'Mostly Cockblocked' to 'Dead Weight'. The thing's a fucking liability now. It's mere presence is now going to screw the constructs over even more.

Seriously, at present, the worst case scernario is that they somehow force their way into the house before they get ganked and the Ryan family is left with the question of how to get solid cement and asphalt out of their carpet.

So... what about stuff like Oni and Tengu?
If no one claims it I want them. Just to find the explanation for why they apparently don't exist now.

I have some basic stuff on them but you can claim them. I'm concentrating more on gods from the RL pantheons and to an extent angels (Horsemen) and demons (Andras).

If that is indeed the case, then I have a feeling that the contents of the fridge currently pose a greater threat than the constructs.

I dunno. Are youkai the same things as demons? Or are they different? Since some of them such as gashadokuro resemble being such as Null and Guerilla Warfare Units more than proper demons considering their nature and composition.

Let's say no so demons don't become even more complicated.

Also, it would kind of make sense for me to do stuff with Youkai since I actually had one as a character.

Would all youkai be the same species? They have vastly different origins either being living organisms in their own right, becoming animate after a certain amount of time, being transhuman or being gathered desire for revenge.

Also, what about kitsune and nekomata? Since they aren't so much foxes and cats that have become youkai as much as they're just powerful foxes and cats. Would all foxes and cats count as youkai?

I'd rather we not. After all that just creates gaps in lore that people haven't filled yet which other people cannot fill due to not being authorized to create lore for it.

I may be wrong because I haven't refreshed myself on the lore of kitsunes and such but it's more like they were special from the start with kitsunes. Nekomata are really really old cats if I remember right. And I need to sleep so burn me at the stake now if you must.

I think it was basically that they are youkai to begin with and become capable of using their magic to great effect after living long enough. How they live that long, I have no idea, I suppose they'll need the assistance of someone else's magic. Or cryogenics I suppose.
