Previous void lore made sense to me...
Care to explain the stuff on manifestation being dependent on collective unconsciousness and the non-collapsing superpositions then?
Or how the anti-thesis of creation can enter creation on free-will before Nodoka was born, somehow making a gate which stopped just that.
I can hazard a guess to that at the very least. A Gatekeeper is practically a demigod, being born out of the very soul of the void (who I shall call the Destroyer for now as to remove ambiguity). Because the other party involved has a soul of Creation, the resultant Gatekeeper has some residual control involving Creation. This is something the Destroyer
does not have as it would be otherwise against his very nature.
Consequently, due to this residual control, the Gatekeeper though not as powerful, can influence something the Destroyer cannot: movement to and from Creation. Essentially, the Gatekeeper's birth is not what created the Gate. It is the fact that the Gatekeeper has power that extends further than the Destroyer and possesses enough control (it is a demigod after all) to overpower any attempts by void entities to circumvent it's gate.
As for why the Gate formed with it's birth, I would presume that much like how the Creator and Destroyer's abilities are always active, one of the Gatekeeper's abilities, it's namesake, is active by default. It needed to develop and learn until it could use the mortal aspect of it's soul to deactivate the Gate.
Even then, it's father, the Destroyer wanted to restrict traffic to and from Creation anyway, hence why the Gate continues to restrict movement, albeit allowing some people with the right credentials to pass.
I read the lore on Wall Street, what little there was.
I paused.
I read it again.
I got my brain bleach and decided to proceed as if it didn't exist, because that is far easier than anything else, and less likely to give me migraines.
So can anybody make up new dimensions in twilight and stuff?
Because I'd like if there were some less grimdark or utterly alien(in the way that kills people, at least) dimensions out there. That'd be nice.
There's the stuff based on models of the human psyche by @Elf
