Gaknorke, maybe you could ask Shook sometime, too. In a huge coincidence, I ran into him on the TB forums, and he's one of the so-called Legends because of his replays. He'd probably have some tricks to share.
Can we get Shook in here?

Wow, seems when Shook gets into something, he's getting into something so hard he gets famous within the community. Toribash, Cortex Command... well, for a given value of famous, anyhow. I'm having a weird feeling that I'm giving off the wrong vibe, though, I'm really glad of that!

I was playing Toribash, but practically never multiplayer, unless it was local - the waiting really put me off of that. In case I do, name's the same.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

He's very talented.

If anyone wants to go, I can make a room right now.

I may or may not be there as I have a bit of trouble finding specific servers on Toribash.

what if i told you..........

i'm blue belt

:v

Also you guys and all your glowing kind words, you make a silly man feel all warm and fuzzy inside. <3
I really wish i could offer you guys a shitload of concrete advice, but a game like Toribash is basically impossible to actually teach someone to play; the player has to practice to learn. Besides the two magic words ("practice" and "experiment"), i've found that it's also helpful to try and copy the moves of others, then tweak them to your liking, see if you can get different results and all that jazz. Just make sure that if you post replays to the forum, you also make sure to note what parts you did and didn't make, since people WILL get on your arse for presumed plagiarism.

Also, to aid in... Well, copying, there's this fancy thing that parses instructions from replays. It was quite useful to me when i was learning. :v

Sneakedit: Oh yeah by the way, i should probably mention that i don't play multiplayer, especially since i rarely even play singleplayer any more. Been with this game for over 7 years now, et cetera.

TB is unteachable. That's not what I'm after. Just want to get everyone together so we can punch each other.

Yeah I've seen that thing. Dunno how to use it.
