Quote from: Original OP
Hi all! I've been involved with this game for a few years now. Took a very long break, and was at one time a brown belt fighting in advanced servers, but never participated in any tourneys (too scared to try!). Hearing IronTomato talking about it on the game threads over the past few weeks has gotten me back into it, and I worked my way back up to Orange last night.

This thread is for players of Toribash to organise battles or meetings, relate experiences and moves or tricks they might've learned, and generally just talk about the game! IronTomato will reportedly be starting an in-game clan for us soon.

How to Join the Private Room
First make sure one is currently up, I'll usually announce so in-thread. So far I've hosted one every day.

Usually you can find the room by clicking that category in the rooms list when you click into Multiplayer. They're then listed in alphabetic order, so A-Z. You might have difficulty locating the room, if so, just ask for help in the thread. Someone will be able to help.

Scroll down until you find the room, select it, make sure it is highlighted, then click Connect. Once you're inside, you may or may not see some action going on. To get into the fight queue, you must enter "/pass [password here]" in the chat, without the quotes or brackets, obviously.

Alternate Method
you need to join by chat commands, it seems.

join a room.
type /join Bay12 Flail Squad
type /pass bay12
^^This also works. Thanks andrea for figuring it out. <3

Behold, my immense Toribash skill:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I also managed to do a backflip and land not too terribly. (without hitting Uke, sadly).

If somebody could make a room for me to flail in comfortably against somebody else, that'd be great.

If you're the type that love achievements, here's a Steam link (F2P as well): http://store.steampowered.com/app/248570/

I think I remember seeing some freerunning videos using this game as the engine.

I'm a brown belt, and I specialize in aikido and lenshu. Ingame name is Tomato1998 (because there was already some asshole running around with the name IronTomato :P)

I hate this game so much.
I don't know why I even try. Everyone else is so fluent while I flail and sometimes hit things.

Right.. Well just let me know when you're ready. I can go over Judo basics and whatnot. That's the easiest game mode.

I've had this lying around for QUITE a while.  Might as well get back into it.

My ign is 0epitaph, I made it when I just found out about the .Hack video games and was watching an LP of the original quadrilogy.  I'm a green belt, and I prefer Judo(because I don't know how to walk and I mostly just flail around in general) and Jousting, because it's fun.

Gaknorke, maybe you could ask Shook sometime, too. In a huge coincidence, I ran into him on the TB forums, and he's one of the so-called Legends because of his replays. He'd probably have some tricks to share.

Ah wait I'm blue.

Pretty sure the only difference between me being a begginer and me being a blue belt is that I know what certain joints do now and use them to improvise moves.
