Kyle looks for the keys to one.

You widen the hole a bit to get inside. You climb one of the mechs and sit down in the pilot's cradle. There's a control console that you can pull in front of you. You fiddle with the unfamiliar controls but you can't seem to get it to power on. You notice a thin, vertical slot that's quite prominent. Perhaps it needs some kind of electric card?

You think you've got about 15 minutes left until the bombs explode.

Kyle gets out and looks around the tent for any such keycards.

You look around a bit. There's only spare parts, tools and large guns too big for you to carry. They must not keep the keys with the machines. The only other place they could be is with the pilots.

Kyle sighs and looks for the pilots. And hopefully the keys.

I hate the random spawns on these things...

The pilots are probably sleeping in their tents.

"Straight for us you say? Well nothing for it then but zappy guns. Do try to force them to land if you can, but there will be other planes..." Orderthe plane to be forced down or shot down and try to pull of a fire-for-hair look...

Eric becomes surprised, and drops the gun. He then notices his hands aren't hurting, and picks up the gun. He get to his feet and shambles to the tavern, being careful not to touch himself, he doesn't want to light himself on fire.

..the reflection of the ocean is visible a couple hundred miles away.

Well the closest ocean is thataway. He waggles his finger in the general direction of it.

Eric becomes surprised, and drops the gun. He then notices his hands aren't hurting, and picks up the gun. He get to his feet and shambles to the tavern, being careful not to touch himself, he doesn't want to light himself on fire.

You stagger back to the door and struggle with the handle a bit before getting it open. The din stops abruptly when you take your first step inside. Everyone is looking at you, clutching the would-be assassin's gun in one hand and your injured shoulder in the other, blood seeping between your white-knuckled fingers. You specifically notice the lady bartender, and the horrified expression on her face. You suddenly remember the way she was looking at you earlier, just before the assassin came in.

No one says anything. The table you were at has been cleared. Your things are gone.

Eric staggers, towards the bartender. Do you have a spare room? I'll give you this gun for a night. He said raising the Bolero Custom

She seems pretty shaken, and she nervously takes the gun in both hands when you place it on the bar. Uhm.. This place isn't an inn, but for this I'll let you use my room. Come on. She steps lightly from around the bar, still holding the pistol, and grabs you by the hand and starts leading to the back.
