I've just realised that we're probably going to need some AA support. Are fliegerfausts available? Wirbelwinds? Möbelwagen? If so, how many points are they? If not, I'll just go with this list:
Unit Selection
- Flak 38 (50)
- Sdkfz 251 (25)
- Specialist fireteam (25) (2x AT, 2x SMG)

EDIT - slight edit, fireteam composition chosen.

Well, everyone knows AA can be repurposed for infantry & unarmored vehicles.

Okay, just looked over our list, and I'd like to remind everyone that in this game, two things are certain:

When it comes to infantry, quantity over quality.

You always want more men than skilled men, at least in my experience. Besides being cheaper (and easier to replace if one dies) overwhelming firepower outclasses experienced firepower. This does not apply to machineguns. Unless you're massing them, then it does.

When it comes to armored vehicles, quality over quantity.
In this case, just as it usually is in real life, having better tanks is better for you than having plentiful cheap ones. What's the point of having a hundred tanks if they can't penetrate the armor of one decent enemy?

So in conclusion, I would like a Panzer IV for my tank, and vote we lost the two Panzer I's in favor of another Panzer IV.

*Still sour for not playing the Soviets*

Question: Which faction are we actually fighting against in this mission?

Also, I'm starting to think smurfingtonthethird missed this part of an earlier post of mine as the roster is yet to be updated with this name.
Also, since we chose the Germans, I'd like to change my character's name to Oberfeldwebel Michael Steinmann.

Will we really need AA?
If this is true to history, Yes if we're fighting the Allies, Probably if we're fighting the Soviets.
Also: We don't have AA and the enemy has air support - we die
We have AA and the enemy has no air support - we have a little extra anti-infantry firepower, albeit at a fairly high cost.

We only have one infantry choice (other than the specialists, which seem to be more support units than just better soldiers)

I'm pretty sure tank commanders don't get points to buy their tank, and are stuck with whatever the officers buy, or an armoured car if not. I can agree with a Panzer IV or Stug instead of the Panzer Is though.

Well, if the convoy is mainly composed of trucks, with a possibility of light armor, all we'd need is to be able to outclass the trucks and some AT to handle the few light-armor vehicles that might show up. In such a scenario, more light tanks > one or two large tanks, (overkill). But, bringing up the spoilery post from before, we'll probably see plenty of light armor and possibly a medium tank or two. 1 Pz IV does seem more palatable than 2 Pz I-As. Won't leave room for both our squad officers & our tank men to have their own vehicles though..

Ok, then I strongly suggest our officers reconsider our armor choices. We should buy a single Pz. IV rather than 2 Pz. I's.

Specialist fireteam let you choose 4 of any class. They'll have equipment depending on what they are (you could bring a flamethrower, sniper, medic and machinegunner, for example).

Alright, now we only need Playergamer and CaptainMcCLellan to give us orders, and I can start this RTD when I get home from school.

First up is deployment, the general can finalise where everything goes. Then the convoy comes, you issue commands/attacks IN BOLD LETTERS, I roll em to see how badly it turns out, I post a bunch of pictures, and back to step 2 until we're all dead/retreated or we win.

In unrelated news,
I roll em to see how badly it turns out

Oh yeah, I imagine infantry is going to take one hell of a beating. The enemy convoy's size, strength, and speed will be determined by roll too, as well as the special surprise.
