Whenever I watch Eurovision, I have this nagging feeling in the back of my head that if were only to take the exact right dose of LSD it would all start making sense.

I've watched most Eurovision contests since 2007 or 2008 (not sure about the exact year) and I can tell you that it has been steadily going downhill all the time. Most good songs don't win with very rare exceptions, like Alexander Rybak.
It's now mostly a showcase of the degradation of European pop music.

Considering how the show narrators get progressively drunker as the show goes on,  you may be on to something.

Compared to previous years, I am dissapoint with the lack of crazy. Icelands beardy suit band were fun, as was Romania's circle piano, Poland made me laugh for all the wrong reasons, and the beardy lady was all kinds of bad but where is the giant romanian vampire robot? Where are the rapping grannies? Where is the drunk fat german guy climbing the arena? Europe, you have let us all down with your sensible acts.
