Humanity
A race originating from the former planet of earth, where they were the only intelligent race upon the planet for several thousand years. They are the ones who have inspired the various peoples of the Collective to rise up against the dominating regime. The species is bipedal and sexually dimorphic, having a tendency towards a heavy class K reproductive strategy, having great empathy for the children of other races. Average lifespan is around 70-80 'years'.
Humans have basic stats of 5 Strength, 5 Stamina, 5 Reflexes, 5 Intelligence, 5 Wisdom, 5 Charisma, 5 Luck and two free points to upgrade statistics without having to lower another.
Valdorans
A race originating from the planet Novae. They evolved parallel to the Kal'vish, and, until the Collective came, they had fought with them for quite some time. They are a bipedal, asexual race. They are in a symbiotic relationship with a specific variety of tree that produces more versions of their kind, genetic variety coming from pollen produced by the Kal'vish, trees only accepting pollen that is not of its own descendants within 2 generations. Because of this, each world with Valdorans has a minimum of three trees to allow for the population to be upkept. This race follows a class K reproductive strategy, caring heavily for those recently born. They have a body structure similar to a gorilla with a hide of reminiscent of wood. Average lifespan is around 100-110 'years'.
Valdorans have basic stats of 6 Strength, 4 Stamina, 6 Reflexes, 4 Intelligence, 6 Wisdom, 4 Charisma, 5 Luck, and the skills False Decoration (if you were not seen to have moved, you appear to be a decorative tree and are ignored in many situations) and Commune with Plants (able to 'speak' with plants to learn more about an area. ex. when a guard last went past the area)
Kal'vish
Another race originating from the planet Novae. They evolved parallel to the Kal'wish, and, until the Collective came, they had fought with them for quite some time. They are a winged quadrupedal, sexually dimorphic race. They have an appearance similar to those of dragons of human mythology, just exceptionally small, approximately the length of a human's forearm. Due to their size, they are able to navigate their way through multiple areas that would be considered impossible for other races to make their way through. They have adapted a class r strategy due to the amount of difficulty they have in remaining alive when at war or due to larger predators. Average Lifespan is around 80-90 'years'.
Valdorans have basic stats of 4 Strength, 6 Stamina, 4 Reflexes, 6 Intelligence, 4 Wisdom, 6 Charisma, 5 Luck and the skills Small Form (able to fit into tighter spaces than other races) and Glider (you have the ability to cross distances without touching the ground if you 'hit' enough updrafts)
Rilker
A race originating from the planet Yoldor, they have been under the rule of the Collective for so long, they have managed to be ascended out of the pits into what would be considered as the lower middle class of the society. As this was only recently, many remember the other races still lying within the pits below them and some have turned to smugglers, using their intelligence and charisma to get supplies and weapons into the pits. They are a bipedal, sexually dimorphic race, though there are no secondary characteristics to identify gender with besides a slight change in pitch of their voice only truly noticeable to other members of their species. The race follows a borderline class K reproductive strategy, abandoning young after basic knowledge and culture is imparted onto them. Their body structure is reminiscent of a taller, lankier version of a Roswell gray. Average lifespan was around 60-70 'years', but as they are now in the middle class, it jumped to 150-160 'years'.
Rilker have basic stats of 3 Strength, 3 Stamina, 3 Reflexes, 7 Intelligence, 7 Wisdom, 7 Charisma, 5 Luck and the skills Above the Pits (able to move freely around the Pits and Lower Towers) and Rilker Hearing (Able to hear all movement noise despite any level of ambient sound)
Traviks
A race originating from the planet Calin. After Humanity, this is the race that lasted the longest against the Collective by using their natural strength. They are quadrupedal, manipulating objects using two tendrils that arc four feet from their shoulders. The race has no genders, any matter that is ingested is used to form a child of the race, which buds from one of two tendrils sprouting from the throat, falling off when the growth reaches around one pound in size. Due to this manner of reproduction, the race follows a class r reproductive strategy, many children dying due to the sometimes poor quality of matter ingested. The body structure, with the exception of the tendrils, seems to take on the appearance of a scaled bear. Average lifespan is 50-60 'years'.
Traviks have basic stats of 7 Strength, 7 Stamina, 7 Reflexes, 3 Intelligence, 3 Wisdom, 3 Charisma, 5 Luck and the skills Echolocation (can see in any level of lighting) and Living Ram (able to naturally destroy most things that takes others high explosives to destroy)
Actions will be decided by a d20, bonuses being added or subtracted depending upon your statistics and skills, with the distance from 5 being what the bonus/penalty inflicts (ie. a 1 would be a -4, a 2 would be a -3, a 6 would be a +1, a 5 would be a +0, etc).
Players will be participating in a series of missions of their own selection. Some missions are easier for certain races, or in different quantities of numbers, ex. more makes assault missions easier, while less makes stealth missions easier. Successful completion of missions unlocks further missions along that 'arc', while loss of a mission closes off the 'arc' that mission was a part of.
Typical Arcs are a grouping of all three missions, Stealth, Sabotage, and Assault.
Stealth missions are used to get information on a target location by getting the floor plans, density of guards, etc of the target. Successful completion results in unlocking the sabotage mission.
Sabotage missions follow stealth missions and are used to distract the target and divert their attention elsewhere so the assault can be successful. Successful completion results in unlocking the assault mission.
Assault missions are the actual attack upon the target to perform a certain action, whether it is stealing a technology, weaponry, or perform an assassination. Successful completion results in the completion of the arc, granting the resistance different bonuses or new weaponry.
Other Arcs would include things such as Recruitment, Establishment of a Safehouse, Smuggling Run, etc.
Spectacular at what a fairly arbitrary avatar change, Rise by Skillet, and Revelation by Black Veil Brides can produce. Isn't it?
Anyway, I'll cobble together some images for the resistance home base when I have a suitable number of players. Then I'll make a post detailing a walkaround of the base as well as the supplies available and a few missions you can go on. Only thing on your sheet you don't fill out will be inventory, since that will start out empty (you will have civilian clothes, though those aren't tracked in the inventory because you will be wearing them when you don't have anything else on. Exception being if the race you are a part of doesn't wear clothing).
