When you open the package, there is a simple black robe with a rope belt, and a ceremonial knife with sheath
You put the robe on, and put the sheath on the belt.
When you walk back, you see Mel talking to to Jack. She is wearing leather armor(the good kind, not the kinky kind,but still shows her curves)and a longsword with its sheath on her belt

Note: Jack is a legion scout of the light(fighter+ranger+some light spells)
That is the stuff he can teach. So Jon could learn how to wield a sword or bow from him

I realize that yelling our plans during battle is a bad idea, but hey, getting hit in the throat is actually pretty damn painful. Of course, if we're just directly controlling Mel, have her natural aim for his throat. Or attempt to disarm him. Yeah, that.
